The Goal is; try to win Endurance Laguna Seca 200 miles with a FF (front weel drive car), you can choose any car that you want and here are no tuning limitations all FF cars are allow. New rules:must face the first lineup of cars including Ford GT, Saleen and the Shelby series 1 supercharged(the 2 first at less), and like evidence picture or video is needed. Good Luck!

I'm trying now with a Focus RS totally tuned, is easy to reach the first place and keep the position a couple of lapses but the problem to finish in first place are the tires more exactly the front tires that go down rapidly I'm wondering wath to do to win...

i might try tomorrow morning

or maybe even tonight

Maybe you could use the TDR Celica, as even with sport tires it has good grip.
Maybe I will try this too, i'm sure one of us will find a way to win:).

Yes, I tried with the Celica TRD but I couldn't make it:ouch: , I think that the better one is the Focus RS but I have this problem with the tires, anyway I'm still looking for the goal!💡

i've tried:

Acura CL 3.2 Type S
Honda Integra Touring Car
Alfa 147 GTA

and more

and i can't win!!!!!!!!

One thing about FF cars is high horsepower is not a good thing, so try to
find a FF car that handles good to makeup for a lower horsepower.
And can you tell me how well you did with the TRD Celica. Because
maybe it will give me ideas on what to try when driving it.

i was thinking that but i need some money to buy it first

it's the best stock powered car from what i found

I have the cash for it so I will try it tomorrow, also I tried the race today
and I can't beleave how hard this race is:scared:.

What about the Xsara rally car?

mmm, 👍 good idea!, I forgot the Xsara rally car, but I don't know, the last time I used the Integra Touring Car full of hope but was a disapointment:indiff: , this evening I'll try with the Xsara RC!

Yes, is the big problem of the FF car is really dificult to control big amounts of power, making corners with a powerfull FF car is a big deal, if you don't control the gas you go straigth out of the track, your idea of a car with less power sounds logical but remember that you need a very fast car to compete with a GT40 or Shelby Series 1 or something like that with a plus of power extra as you find in this race, they have around 600HP and you can tune the FF cars not beyound 480hp(without traction so you can't use all the HP availables) exept a couple race cars, they are like little tiny cars against the monsters of Laguna Seca, about the Celica I can't remember well, I'm trying this for a couple of monts, but I think is like the others, Focus RS, Alfa 147 GTA, Alfa 156 V6, Golf, Integra TC, with all of them I made 4/5 laps in the first position and then the tires start to vanish and change the head for the tail, is a sad situation:guilty: , anyway keep the fight:tup:

I tried the race again today, and I found that both the Xsara rally car and the
Integra Touring Car just were not right for this race. But I did try the Honda
Integra Type R with about 335hp and found that it work ok untill I got to lap
11 when I had to pit, which make's me ask, when does the other car pit.
Because I was doing fine untill I had to pit. But it was fun racing the S7 and GT:trouble:.

really!? you did fine for that long?, i was already 20 secs behind in the second lap! with a fully tuned Integra Touring car:banghead:

Tough challenge! I just had a try at this with the Integra Touring Car. I managed to keep right on the tail of the lead two cars right up to my first stop, on lap 8 (I was using Hard fronts and Super Soft Rears), from there I was able to lap within 5 tenths of the lead car, the problem is the lead car doesnt pit until lap 16. I didnt try Super Hard tyres but I doubt they will help much, will have to find a faster car.

I was using R1 tires, and I was about 2 to 3 sec ahead of the S7 and GT
before I had to pit. And I found that the Integra Touring Car does not have
as much torque as the Integra street car at the same horsepower. And on
top of that the street car weight is lower as well. I have a few more idea's
about what car to use, and I did save my replay upto lap 12 if anyone wants it.

Gave the Integra street car a go, games currently on pause on lap 8, I had a 16 second lead when I pitted and im exiting the pits right now with the front car just crossing the start finish line. I dont think its going to be enough to win the race though as most of the time I made up was due to the fastest car being held up by the others while I was leading.

It might be possible with this car or any other that can lap at its pace, if you were to use Super Hard tyres, get into the lead and force those tyres to go for 16 laps and pit on the same lap as the fastest AI.

i'll have to try the xara rally ccar

Ok, I tried the Xsara RC with turbo plus added and oil change (418HP), the first time I used the R1 super hard tires, it was a massacre, I only was able to be ahead of the Camaro, Pontiac and Vette,:indiff: but the Saleen goes in the 10 lap 12 secons ahead of me and to make matters worse in the 11 lap pit was unquestionable so I finished the race, the second time I used the Medium tires, with them I reached the first position with 2-3 sec ahead of the Saleen but in the 6 lap PITWORK!:grumpy: and imagine the next, then I decided to try the Supersoft tires with the idea of stole enough time (18-20'') before the pits, but...I couldn't make it:crazy:

I tried the race again today but I just could get into it so I will try again later.
But I found a car that does seem fast, the Spoon Civic Type R. It's light and
can make some good horsepower, had a go but didn't do very good.

Hello, I'm happy :dopey: cos I'm in the middle of something that I think lead me to make it posible, as I've been telling the Focus RS is -for me- the best FF car, now I'm with him on the lap 20 and have a lot of seconds ahead of the GT40 (enaugh to pit and return in first position), I'm sure this time I'll make it, I'll be back with all the info and fotos when earn the gold...:dunce:

good luck:tup:

count me out because my ps2 won't play gt4:indiff:

Well, it's done, I made it with the Focus RS full tuned with 416HP, the tires, front: Hard, rear: soft, with them I made pit stops each 9 laps, I didn't use driving aids and the nitro is realy useless, my lap average was (more or less)
1'28"500, my best lap was 1'27"200, one important thing is to put 46% of the weight in front to improve the traction, note that the second one was the Ford GT40 with an average of 1'30"800 and 1'29"100 best came up to 40sec behind of me making pits each 16 laps, the incredible thing is that when start the race the Saleen was in 2º/1º place until 24 lap when made the first pit stop, I was realy worried about it but then I overpased him, game failure? Well, the point is that is done, now I will prove the Ibiza Cupra, I come back with fotos later...

cool, it must've been very hard

anyway, good job:tup:

The Saleen pits on lap 22/24
the Ford GT pits on 16/19

Anybody try the second lineup?
'03 Viper SRT-10
'99 Viper GTS
'02 ZO6
'02 Calloway
'02 GTO

I'm running a Dodge SRT-4, at 439hp, fully loaded, (downforce 30/15) with stage 2 turbo, for better low-rpm torque, and using 3rd gear leaving corners.

I'm currently on lap 26, with myself having pit 3 times, and the opposition pitted once, and I have a 33 second lead.
So far it looks like it's in the bag.

I've also found R2's to be faster than R1's, despite lasting only 6 laps, vs. 9.

After this, I will try against the Saleen and GT

good luck!
