Hey all,
It's been a while since I've made a thread but just couldn't resist making this one up!
Just this morning I was mucking about with some standards when I came across the now highly detailed interior view of the Formula GT! I was shocked! I mean, holy crap where did that come from!?
Then I did a little search on here and found a thread that suggested to try the Caterham and the Chrysler Prowler. Results:
Caterham: Looks great! Lots of detail for a standard. Gauges don't move though, but hey I'm not complaining.
Chrysler Prowler: Woah!! I thought the FGT was awesome! This is borderline premium! I mean, the attention to detail in this cockpit is amazing, and to top it off it HAS working gauges! Just for the sake of admiration I'm going to start driving this car more often!

Those are so far the only three I have tested, but I'm sure there are bound to be others! If you know of any, post up what you have found so we can all enjoy! :)

Try the open topped LMP cars.

Chapparal 2j is near premium

I'm hearing alot about the tank car too. Need to try that!

Basically anything open-top looks awesome.

LMPs, 2J, Toyota 7 (don't recall this one being awesome), Prowler, Caterham, Suziki Concept, Tank car, FGT, etc...

On another note, I'm fine with the black interiors. But certain cars are problematic, you'd think you might be able to see things such as tall hoods or wheel covers through the windshield, but no. An example would be the Toyota GTONE, I'm pretty certain it's possible to see the wheel arches through the windows, but they only pasted the silhouette of the interior and the tint from the glass over the standard bumper cam. (which, oddly enough, is actual at the driver's head position.

Oh, and you'd definitely be able to see the bed of the trucks when looking out the back, but you can't.

I'd love for this to be fixed, but hey, can't complain too much after such a nice addition. :)

Hmmm I need to try the GSXR4! I love that car will be good to see what they done with it!
Hopefully next they update the interiors of other. Standards! Would really like the GTO (my car in RL) to be updated to a more detailed cockpit.

Funny how, out of all the open top standard cars they pick the prowler to put the most effort on. PD makes me scratch my head sometimes.

tho
Chapparal 2j is near premium

Yeah it really is very sharp looking and the resolution is great. I wish the guages worked and then it'd be perfect.

Suzuki GSXR/4 cockpit is near premium too, but gauges don't work.

Haha! So true!!! It´s funny to think who, and based upon what, went like: "hey, lets put working gauges in the Prowler, and Premium textures."

An almost unnoticed car, suddenly turned into the star of the show. I´ve always loved the Prowler, specially because in GT5 you can race it against others. Now I love it more :D

Even though most people hate it, it´s one of my personal faves. With the cockpit wiew, sadly nothing was changed on the old Blastolene. Same old textures and stuff, but the feel that you get cruising around that monster, now behind the wheel, is priceless ;D

Too bad the roof is on the 2CV. We need a convertible beetle too, with the fake flower on the dashboard.

...or if you meant the new one.

That would be funny!!! :D

Yes it was part of the 2.0 update. Off the top of my head there is also the Toyota 7 (without moving gauges), Caterham Fireblade, Tank Car and the 2J(or 2D? The one with the turbine thingies at the back) have the same thing. All they need now is the premium like damage effects(because we all love smashing up our cars).

I remember this being discussed ages ago :)

The link posted above to the thread which discusses this also has a link in it to the orginal thread which can be found here.

Pretty much tried all the ones listed but the open top LM cars (seeing as I have none :( ) and my favorite is definitely the GSXR4, followed by the PD FGT, Prowler, then Super Seven :). Let's hope the next few updates roll out more Above Standards!!! :)
