Will Alonso and Renault win races together

They won't win races together, particularly in 2021 unless Renault make serious in roads this season with their car. Fernando is intelligent enough to know this so he'll go in hoping for some solid points and good competitive racing.

This is all about Renault building for the future and getting a development direction for 2022 with the new regulations. IF he's going to win races and Renault don't make big progress with this current car, 2022 is when it will happen. But its a big if, this feels like a more developmental signing than a "we're gonna win the championship" signing.

Alonso: Where is Palmer? Engineer: Fernando you are in his seat. Alonso: KARMA

Haha, thats good

That's what im assuming as well. He'll guide them next year to develop the car for contention in 2022.

I feel bad for Renault's engineers who were probably happy not being verbally abused over the radio. Here comes Alonso crashing through the door all "Here's Johnny", ready to make their lives a living hell if they don't deliver a race-winning car.

Well, on the flip-side if there's anyone who can drag an absolute bucket of a car to race wins, it's Alonso. He may be Renault's best asset in the fight for podiums in 2021 given their car is still competitive and Ferrari is still down in the dumps after their engine power "magically" disappeared from last year.

F1 is just a little bit more boring without Fred, I’m stoked to see him back. The team mate battle with Ocon might be fun to watch as well.
