Alternative contexts...

[Xerophthalmia]

I noticed that a lot of people show pictures of their cars in different context than usual racetracks, i.e. on cobble, in front of restaurants. How do you take these pictures? Where can I find these "scenes"? I know about the "photomode" but only in normal tracks.

And also. Are the vignetting and other effects added in the game or do you photoshop them afterworth?

You got to be kidding.
GT Mode -> Phototravel.
Vignetting can be added with the blend in combination with zoom. Everything extraordinary you see was most likely edited.
