Sorry if this has already been covered, but searching for it is a bit like looking for a needle in a haystack!

Finally broke the plastic brake pedal on my DFP (same thing happened to the DF before it).

Already got the G25 for my new cockpit with the PS3, but would like to keep the DFP cockpit going with the PS2.

Question:

Can anyone recommend a sturdy alternative?

2 pedal set-up with just brake and accelerator would be fine – doesn't really need a clutch for the PS2 games.

You could try bolting a aluminum plate on top of your brake paddle then glue a rubber pad over it if it's not broken at the very bottom of the paddle.

'Fraid it is broken right at the bottom, as it all wobbles around. I'd already repaired the DF one I had before with some steel angle brackets that kept it going a little longer, but don't think it is worth the effort, as the DFP will only break again I fear.

Looks like I'm going to have to make a brake pedal myself.

With GT5 Prologue due soon I don'zt think I'll feel inclined to bother with the old DFP / PS2 cockpit – will be concentrating on the G25 / PS3 one – but I do want to have them both in action so I can link two PS2s and GT4 for head-to-head racing.

Buy a DFP pedal box from someone who got a replacement from Logitech.
There has to be thousands of these spare pedal boxes laying around.

Find one.

Cheers,

Yes, a simple solution – but they are very weak – don't last long with my heavy braking foot – it soon becomes a breaking foot!

That's why I wondered about a sturdier replacement.

I'm in the process of adapting this set for a cockpit project....looks like Happ pedals & probably you would find a set available in any 'parts' driving game you can pick up super-cheap at an auction or something.....bonus part is they hinge from above like most cars. these suckers are STOUT & look very serviceable/adjustable.
