How do I resume a saved endurance?

I started the Nurburgring 4 Hours instance yesterday, pitted in and saved my game. Booted up gt5 today abms stated my game as normal, expecting to get that "you are in the middle of a race" message that you'd get in gt4 when you saved mid-series. There was nothing.
clicking round a bit didn't seem to give me that option to resume my race... Where am I going wrong here?
 
I have saved races, when you start GT5 again it goes immediately to Resume Race, even faster than in GT4, so something (or someone) has deffinatelty intervened there ScouserI-E

I must have got the saving bit wrong - it is the "suspend" option, isn't it? I selected that, waited until ask menus had disappeared and then switched my ps3 off.

Unless my nine-month-old daughter is sneaking out her cot in the middle of the night and is having a couple of quick laps while I'm asleep, no one touched the ps3 poetry than me...

I hope that`s a typo, as it makes no sense. :odd:

ANYWAY....on topic:
First off, I have to say I have never personally suspended a race, so don`t know exactly what happens when you do, HOWEVER....I can`t see it being much different to the hypothesis I`m about to table, but if it is, please feel free to correct me.

I think you may have turned your ps3 off before the save was complete.
Was the yellow HDD light still flashing or was there a `saving icon` on screen when you turned it off?

The saving icon on some games can be a right git to spot, so you probably didn`t even notice it (especially if it appears on a part of the screen where white/light coloured text is hard to spot).

Like I say, I have no 1st hand experience of suspending races, but with experience from when other games autosave, I reckon my theory isn`t that far off.

I am of course, open to correction. :)
 
Did you wait until the pop-up appeared telling you to turn off the PS3? It says something along the lines of "your race is suspended, press O to go to the menu (you will lose saved progress). To save progress, exit game via PS button"

If you did this, it looks like you got unlucky somehow, of your daughter is smarter than you think.

Oh, and yes, if it was done properly, when you next load GT5, cant cant do anything BUT resume the race.
