The other evening. Admitted having consumed a number of hop based beverages. Myself and a couple of friends were speculating on what daft challenges we could set ourselves on GT5. We are all solid players. Never going to challenge for the GT Academy, but competitive in online races. And now we are looking for some slightly alternative challenges. And we started speculating whether we might be able to win the A Spec, Nurburgring 24 Hour race, using a FGT. so not having any headlights, and having to race the entire night stint using only the driving line to lap the track. We reckon finding the pits might be a bit tricky. But that the FGT would be fast enough to do it.
Has anybody else attempted this? How did you get on? Has anybody tried this using any other headlightless cars? And does anyone else have any weird challenges you can set yourself?

A few people have attempted it without the driving line and a few have succeeded. Try looking in the Race Reports section to see someone's story of how they won a 24 hour race with the FGT.

The pits are adequately lit at night so it shouldn't be an issue finding your way in.

Yep, youre mad! Personally I love driving in the dark with no headlamps, really tests your driving skill.

Absolutely bonkers. Cheers!

How do you completely turn off all lights in\out the car?

I thought we could only cycle hi-lo beam, and only in Premiums.

There are cars that don't have headlights. Like the FGT, 2J, HKS CT230R, NASCAR, etc.

Nope not mad, most sane person I know!

You drank beer and drove at night without headlights

OMG watch out guys.. this guy is a badass..

Fixed that for you.

Fixed better! ;)

:dopey:Ruff... ruff...:dopey: yeah you are, but I bet you can enjoy it!

Hope for no rain, especially if you want to use the FGT--- reaction time will be at a premium. Either get many chaps together, or take a few "suspended" breaks, as you may get quite a headache.

Oh, and don't turn up the exposure(brightness), that'll add an additional challenge!

Driving in the darkness without using headlights and driving lane is quite a challenging attempt worth to be done as an expert.
