I bought Kinect a few weeks ago. I am not a huge dance guy, but I thought Dance Central was worth getting. It's a cool game, with a huge amount of fun factor to it. Flawed and very basic as it may be, it sure makes you 'work out' while providing entertainment.

I am very rarely impressed with all these 'funky' gizmo toys (yes according to me, Nintendo Wii is just a toy). But this particular toy, is pretty impressive. I dont have a lot of games on Kinect and have tried a few demos which are below par, but with games like Dance Central, you surely see the amount of potential this thing has.

I really find it cool and would love to buy a few more games. Thus the point of this discussion board. If any one who shares the same feeling as me, about the coolness of Kinect, I'd like to discuss future games for it, and more..

Anyone, out there?

Yes.

One game does not a system make, especially not when the entire rest of the launch lineup is made up of the same kind of awful that basically causes the Wii to have a target painted on its back regarding what is wrong with the industry today.

If we are giving Ono-san ideas would be nice ( lol video). the Kinect and Move are just attempts to compete with the Wii. Understanding that the Kinect can log out the user when the user leaves the room. I don't know a lot about the Move, so I can't say much. Also, having a line up saying " hey, why can't we do this outside" (excluding the Fighter's game) seems to me that they want you to just buy their products and play more videos games. Though the technology that they have in common is awesome. Imagine being in a game without having a motion capture suit.

I bought Kinect on launch. I absolutely love it. My kids havea great time with it as well. The launch titles don't have to be the greatest, its the rest of the support that counts. Dance central is definitely a keeper. You can't sit on your couch and cheat like with Wii. You're forced to get up and be physical. As far as Move goes I never tried it but it looks like what Wii should've been when it first came out.

There is great potential behind this technology and I'm glad I got it. You never know what's ahead...

"You never know what's ahead"

If you're a core game and haven't been tempted by the Wii, I just can't see anything on Kinect that will woo you, either.

Yes.

I thought the same thing  though I'm sure there's maybe like 1 or 2 others somewhere.

I didn't like the idea of it, but I got the chance to try it so gave it a whirl and didn't enjoy myself. Ironically, I'd rather play the Wii (which I don't particularly like either) as having no control at all makes me feel silly like it's just a big games of mimes. There's the odd game on Wii which I'd play like Resi 4, but I just can't see those genres transferring to Kinect well and regardless I'd still rather have a pad.

I respect the technology, but I still don't like it.

I've heard good things about it but motion gaming isn't my bag. I wasn't enamored with the Wii the few times I've played it. It's all just a big gimmick if you ask me, like 3DTV.

Kinect is cool because of what users are doing with all the hacks/homebrew stuff. Most of the games released for sale are junk because the tech itself is rather weak.
