... who thinks that physics in this game is just awful?

I will write what I mean about it...

Why is braking so damn bad/slow? Why I have to start braking 1km before entering corner? When I brake like FWD Clio - even the easiest touch of brake pedal makes car go straight - I cant turn car until I release brake pedal. This is not realistic at all when I compare this game with Project Cars, Assetto Corsa or Forza 7.

Iam using brand new G29.

Yes; out of the whole world wide web, you're the only one who thinks that...

Brakes are fine for me, with or without assists, if you brake with a FWD while cornering, a lockup and understeer are the first things you can expect.

Regarding braking distances: try to shift the braking bias towards the front axle, that might help.

(Assuming you're only braking in a straight line)

But I will concede that this game could use with some brake upgrade options.

With G29 I found a sort of physical stop that's about half braking power that was perfect for modulating the brakes. Now I have LC brakes and will never look back and braking is as realistic as it gets.

I don't share your thoughts.

Tires grips less if tires overheat, when it's cold, when it picks up dirt. As tires wear , FFB changes. FF and AWD cars exhibit torque steer. Wheel lightens on crests. Hard braking sometimes causes my steering to pull. Messing up a downshift locks the wheels. Weight transfer is very prominent. especially with elevation changes. MR cars squat and accelerate like goats, as they should, lift off overseer is present. I could go on and on. It has some shortcomings of course, but it's packed with subtleties and far from what I consider terrible.

Completely disagree with OP, im not surprised you find it difficult to turn with FWD cars, this is how cars work in real life...

Try adjusting your brake balance if you want better turn in, i find 2 clicks to the front helps the pivot on those cars

One thing what is bad too is sense of speed. Gameplay is just so slow-mo... Great sense of speed is in Forza 7 and DRIVECLUB. And oh boy how good is DRIVECLUB with wheel. I know that DRIVECLUB is arcade but wheel feeling is so good.

Physics is fine. You just have to get used with the field of view. I recommend you sit very close to your screen.

Turn on the driving cones. If you're braking before the double cones, it's you, not the game.

Also, most people don't realize that full brakes, even with ABS on, is locking the brakes. You have to go full brakes initially and then release slightly to maintain grip. You can hear the tires screeching when the lock.

Given where the driving cones are set up, the braking seems just like real life.

Physics is not perfect but is not bad either. I played pretty much all sims on the market (i have a game pc as well) and GTS physics are pretty decent compared to the competition.

Try a FR car instead of a FF cause FF is naturally prone to understeer or lock up under braking. Or try to manage by setting brake balance more to the rear.
