(AMA) GT World Championship

Does anyone know what the basic specs (weight/hp) of the competition in the "(AMA) GT World Championship" race series are?

My GT3 is all Japanese so I don't know what the cars are exactly but they look like:

Viper
Castrol NSX
Calsonic Nissan
Nomad Lambourgini
Loctite Nissan

I'm wondering if this bunch are any kind of match for a stock Mercedes CLK race car?
 
In the NTSC version we don't have the Lambo.
The Viper Outpowers the other cars on your list by nearly 200 Hp in "as won" trim. That is the NSX, and both Skylines, as well as both of the Supras. (Castrol, and Denso).
The Viper is however at about the same HP level as the Corvette C5-R, The Camaro RaceCar, and the LMs (RX-7, WRX, S2000, and FTO)
 
I'm runnin that race right now... medium tires, around 700 HP w/ a vertigo car. it's a BLAST to run it in there... :D
 
To answer my own question, and in case anyone is interested, I've discovered:

No, the cars in the Amateur "GT World Championship" are not a match for the Mercedes CLK race car so if you want a vaguely fair race you'd better drive something slower.

Don't worry needing enough HP to beat the highest powered cars in the race because although the Viper's power is awesome it is of limited use when the AI decides to pit on the fourth of five laps.

Has anyone hacked the game to find out what mods(tires) and how much hp/weight the competition has in each of the races? If we knew then we could use appropriately powered cars for each race.
