Hello people of GT5. I am posting this to invite people to join in an amateur endurance racing event on 19/03/11.
It will take place at the Leguna Seca Raceway and will be a 40 lap race (aprox. 60mins).
There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes. These will be a car of the winners chose within a certain price range depending on their finishing position.
All driving ads will be off but there is a choice between automatic or manual.
The cars must be Golf IV GTI 01 or Golf IV GTI RM 01, but can have any alterations to the vehicle or vehicle set up (we strongly advise as many modifications as possible).
Rules:
1. Those wishing to attend must fulfil all criteria stated above.
2. The penalty setting will be on heavy but penalties for actions not controlled by the games penalty system may be given out.
3. Penalties for abusive language or aggressive driving may consist of a drive through penalty or forced retirement.
4. Only people who are able to control their vehicle in traffic may take part. If you are deemed a dangerous driver you may be asked to retire (you may be a spectator) or be removed from the server.
5. All incidents will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
6. Flag rules apply as in real racing (shown in message box)(although all very unlikely to be used):
a. Yellow Flag no over taking on any part of track
b. Red Flag Head back to grid and line up in current order
c. Black Flag Driver is disqualified from race
If there are more than 16 people wanting to participate there may be a small qualification session which those wishing to take part must attend. To qualify you must beat a certain time and be in the top 16.
You must ensure you attend the practice sessions to prove your driving ability, If you intend to race. Drivers must demonstrate car control and as stated lack of will lead to a forced retire or a kick.
Room Codes will be posted 5 minutes before the session officially opens.
