Amazing fastest lap times in race you've had

I had a race with waynejone37 driving F333 at California, He won the race by about 3 seconds ( Damn you wayne ), but the amazing thing we saw was the fastest lap times we had.

Just thought I would put this in this thread:

I was looking through the Leader Boards last night & noticed that the lap times for the 348 Challenge are almost identical (slower by less than 1/2 sec.) to the 355 Challenge. This seems a bit odd as, according to the game stats, the 355 has 100 more BHP & weigh quite a bit less.

Can anyone explain this?
