Did anyone watch the making of this bike? I recorded the entire episode and thought they did an incredible job designing and building this machine. The wheels were just sick how they matched the car! The bottom side of the gas tank looked just like the neck of a real life cobra snake.
Carrol Shelby Bike

Wow, that is very cool. Those dudes have got some serious skill. Did they finish the Jay Leno bike? I didn't get to see the end of the episode.

It was cool till the idiots put it on the dyno without having the proper oil in it. So never the less the engine went blamey.

DRIFT GOD
it was on last week, but that is a badass bike 👍
It was a 2 part show. The first part was last week. The final part was last night. 2 episodes. 👍
The engine oil problem was because of a faulty gauge. They had it rebuilt by the next morning in time for the show.

IMO,I think it really has nothing to with Carrol Shelby, except for the various shelby badges.....So,why'd they do it anyways?

I'm not a bike man, but I want that one. Those rims are just...just wow! They look so great!

But the NOS bottle...gotta go... 👎

The nos bottles were put there because the car has them in there. They dont have nos anyway. They used the Nos bottles to put oil into. Everything on that bike was inspired by the car. Many of the parts on the bike are actually right from Carroll shelbys cars. 👍 This is the car they were inspired by. Unique Performance Super Snake
The bike was shown at the 2005 SEMA event.
OCC is becoming huge! They are so huge that they even built a bike for the same people that we use our software from. SOLIDWORKS. My boss was able to see these guys in person last weekend in Florida for a business trip. They came out riding the bike. I guess it was amazing and I wish I could have been there!

That would have been freakin awesome ! They do such cool work there...I hear Jesse James bad Mouth them saying " I make bike you can actually ride ", but he seems like a prick most of the time anyway...

I gotta say though, I love the show, until Paul Jr and Sr really start into the b.itching, then I have to change the channel...

Yeah, I loved the police bike - but OMG, there was SOOOOOOO much b*tching that whole episode...

Bike's don't really appeal to me, but I love to see creative shows like OCC. Fabricating a vehicle from scratch inspired by something else, and watching it all come together - as an artist, I find this quite entertaining to watch.

And yeah, I used to watch Monster Garage a lot, until Jesse just became intolerable. He's such a dick. The last one I saw was the drift machine they built. That was kinda fun, being a drift fan.

Here are some of the images from the real car that they compared the bike to.

i think jesse james is a dick. excuse the language, but he just comes off as a weiner to me. i think billy lane makes better bikes than jesse.

OCC's bikes are too fantasy-ish. thats not a bad thing, but like jesse said, who the hell would ride one?

as for the shelby bike....i think it goes without saying: that is one SWEET chopper.

My favorite bike is by far the "Black Widow Bike". That was the sickest bike I have seen in my life. 👍 👍 .....but thats really a different thread in itself.

What the hell is wrong with my Discovery Channel up here in Canada? Last week and this week the episodes have been chronicling the assembly of the Police Bike for the NYPD (the one with the sidecar). I haven't heard a thing about this Shelby bike, and now I'm pissed off. Only about one of every four episodes is actually "new" and not a rerun. It could be months before I see that episode. Dammit!

I recorded almost the entire thing. Without most of the commercials too. If you want it I could send it to you on a DVD. Just PM me if your interrested.

Can I ask one practical question about the Shelby bike?
I watched the fabrication of the tank, and my only thought was:
That's pretty cool, but how much gas will it really hold?

At about 40MPG, that looks like about a 30 Mile tank.

Exactly. This is strictly a show bike, and is not designed for everyday use. Questioning how much gas the tank will hold is like questioning the price tag. OCC custom bikes (the ones featured in the shows) are virtually priceless. They cost well in excess of US$100,000.
