American Extreme b-spec

I cannot do this race with bob, im getting to 6th and thats it, tried a few combinations viper with acr 1030bhp is the best ive found.

Driver level is at 23 but for some reason he brakes way before the other drivers then slams in the wall in the way out, I only have a level 24 but it says i have more xp thatn i do after the race, sometimes even whole levels ahead!

Is the 2j the only car bob can do this race with?
 
I was trying with the NASCAR but couldn't make it work, I took some other peoples' advice and bought the ZR1, race modded it and I think gave it a stage 1 engine tune, that was all Bob needed to run away with it, by quite a distance, too. That car is good enough that a brand new Bob can win at Indy with it, great way to powerlevel for a decent endurance team.
 
Right, Ive done that, bought one and modded it with RM and all mods and he still cant do it!

Ill try a new bob for it lol
 
All you need to do is use the RM ZR1 fully modded, best tires allowed and keep an eye on him. Do not let him cool down, keep his bar near the center and then toward the end of the race when he starts lapping other cars instruct him to over take and he should win with ease. If you let him cool down he will slow down and when he comes upon lapped traffic he will be content to follow along behind them for a while letting the other cars catch up and overtake him.

With this car and just a little proper management it is an easy race.

The Nascar and the FGT series are quite a bit harder.
 
There's a trick with the NASCAR event where you lower the brake balance to 1/1 which seems to lower the stopping ability of the brakes enough so that he doesn't lose too much speed, though I haven't tried it with any other car as I haven't really needed to.

Forgot to say you need to make sure his tyres are the same kind as the restriction, if they're even slightly worse your Bob will drive a lot worse. If his form indicator (the arrow to the right of the helmet on the select screen) is pointing down he'll be even worse than usual, too, like as in a very noticeable amount of worse. I found the mental and physical strength bars meant very little during the Indy race, if they both ran out entirely you could still order him and he'd react accordingly, so I don't worry too much about that.

At Laguna Seca you might want to keep restarting until the 2J is behind a Ford MkIV or equally slow car, as it might struggle to get to the front before your Bob gets there, thus cutting it's lead over you. I have to admit that wasn't necessary for me and never has been, so it's just a theory, but yeah.
 
what settings are people using for the zr1? I got silver with the viper, I can say the 2j is a be'ach! Done me on the last straight on laguna.

I think its my settings for those races and car aint right. My 905 is flat round the entire thing!

I just had max downforce and set the top speed to 200mph, everything else was just standard.
 
max downforce on front or rear? can you give us the exact numbers? im trying to beat this on b-spec mode as well but with the mazda furai concept, i may have to get the ZR1 to beat this in b-spec.
 
I did that with Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II you win at Dream Car Championship (A-spec). Driver was level 23, won by 1.5 seconds. Also, I used engine stage 3 tuning and a supercharger.
 
Mine breezed it with an Oreca Dodge Viper GTS-R Tuned of course
