This is a new series based on a current IRL series from NASA. This is a Tuned series. It will be a all out war to the finish line every race. The cars have all been tested. They all have their own quirks. Choose your poison and come out and have a blast. Can you handle the pressure?

General Rules

We expect all drivers to follow the GTP O.L.R and pursue good racecraft at all times.

  • if you're not sure what good racecraft is, watch this video.
  • It can be summed up in one simple 'Golden Rule' of motorsports: It is the responsibility of the overtaking driver, meaning the car that is attempting to execute the pass, to make sure that the pass is made cleanly and incident free. If you don't agree with this rule or don't think it applies to you, please go elsewhere to race !
  • Drivers who fail to participate in at least three of the previous season's races will be moved to Part Time Driver Status.
  • Part time drivers will be allowed to re-apply to Active driver status at the start of the following season based on case by case request.
  • Should more than one lobby be required the rooms will be split to provide the best possible racing. Rooms are arranged by division. Each room will be preassigned prior to the racing night.

Application Procedure:
Sent Pm to @GTP_Vertigo, Then respond to the club invitation via the community feature.

Point System/Championship

A season will be 4 consecutive meetings. The Championship will be determined by all drivers best Three Finishes out of 4 races. There will be Team Championships. A team can only consist of 2 drivers.

Points system will consist of the your typical points system used. First place will receive 16 points. Sixteenth will receive 1 point. The pole sitter will also receive additional point.

At the end of the Season 1, Given the interest for a second season, the top 3 drivers in points will have a track selection for season 2. The top team will have a collective choice for the forth track.

Thanks go out to @GGGMotorsport for the outlining of the thread.

Sounds good love the muscle.

Welcome aboard kickenit! I suggest grabbing up all three cars, change oil and add front and rear aero to all for some testing. :) Like Vert said, they all have their quicks but with tuning they all can be adjusted to your personal liking.

My goodness, what a weekend is coming for me, eheheh. My GT3 Challenge and it's 1 hour race on friday, American metal with two 45 minutes races on Saturday and my snail replacement DTC with two 40 minutes races on sunday. I will make enough milage to go around the world... twice :p.
So, I would like to take the Dodge if there's no objection, gentlemen.
Thank you very much for the opportunity.

Wow, that's a lot Schmiggz! Good luck with your GT3 race bud! I look forward to battling you and your SRT. :)

BTW, the camero is over the 536 pp by 2 at 538pp at 500hp and 1450kg.

With the right combination of upgrades and mild de-tuning you can kinda get the best of both worlds. But the max pp is the max pp. I think I'm at 499 hp ti meet specs with the Camaro.

I have no super charger and the specs clearly state 500 hp. I've tried every combo of parts (i've tuned on GT since GT1 16 years now. I would consider the camero but in order to reach that low of a pp would require too much weight or not enough hp. I'm a true racer at heart, which means I look for EVERY advantage or dis-advantage. As the co-founder and co-tuner for the SNAIL GT-1 Series I can assure you the the pp ranking system in Gran Turizmo is flawed. I personally created a 27 car list using the power to weight method that yielded a .300 difference at ANY given track. I'm not trying to be an a$$ here. I'm just pointing out a problem for new people who have little or no tuning exp. That's all.

@FloptaStr8 8-ish tonight

@reigninblood
This series should prove to be a fantastic opportunity for those who wish to dabble more in tuning in a more realistic race format. We have limited car choice, longer races along with a very short list of specs to meet. I am confident we don't need to over analyze the specs. I think Vert is trying to keep the specs as simple as possible and still have relevance to the full scale series. It's not a perfect system, and I honestly feel there would be little overall advantage in attempting to create one.

I agree and again, I'm not trying to rock the boat here. I realize what is going on here. Gt-1 was based on FIA classes of race cars that were put into this game in street trim only. I was merely pointing out a possible point of confusion. I'm not trying to be like a lot of other people online who are bitching about stupid s___ just because I have nothing better to do. I'm just trying to help. I know all too well what Vert has gone through putting this together and my hat is completely off to him. I'm on board totally. What the heck do I know though GT-1 is only moving into it's 4th season and it's actually the 4th successful league I've helped develop. Now, I'm going to get back to more important things, like watching paint dry.
