Do you love the sound of a thunderous roar when an American big block engine comes to life? Do you like being shoved into a seat that has a mold in the permanent shape of a race car driver because of the hundreds of lb-ft of torque propelling your beast muscle car? Can you handle 3000 lbs of raw power? If so, then this is the racing team for you. If you're a muscle car junkie or just plain love American cars, then why not sign up for the American Muscle Racing Team?
What We're About
Before you sign up, there are a few things you should probably know about AMR. If you sign up to race in any series in the name of AMR, you must drive a car from South City on GT2 (excluding Accura). Of course you can drive other cars for other teams, but not for this one. This is currently just a Gran Turismo 2 racing team.
Also, signing up means you assume the responsibility to do your best to be available for any of your fellow teammates if they need a teammate for a series. And placing well in some races wouldn't hurt either.
AMR Manager, hirace45, will also recommend series in which we would like some members to race in. Posts with lists of current recommended series will be entitled "AMR Approved Series." You can race in any series allowing American cars to compete even if it is now an AMR Approved Series, but please do the best of your ability to compete in those series listed.
Although AMR is a big supporter of muscle cars, we race anything from the '71 Dodge Charger to the Ford Focus to the new Corvette ZR-1. We even race America's super cars past and present. Cars like the Wiegert M12, Saleen SR Widebody, and the Ford GT40.
