This basically acts as the general message thread as it is the most recently active one.Is there a general message thread for ATS. Been playing since summer 2020. I justed purchased most of the add on states from last 12 months or so except Louisiana.
I have not messed around with any mods except for a little while in 2021. I wished they would just include a few classic 70's, 80's and 90's trucks in the game even if add on content.
When you select for next pick-up destination. Wished it would tell you if you have ever picked up from this company or delivered to company. Same with being able to tell if you how been to either town before.
It would also be amazing if they could implement teams drivers where the AI is your team mate and ride along (watch) as AI drives the truck. Same with just maybe being able to watch any of your other company drivers make their run.
Had something interesting happen last week was behind another rig at stop sign on two way road. AI going other way did not have enough room to make his turn on to the two lane road I was on.
After a few real world minuets. The AI truck in fromt of me backed in to my truck before I had time to find reverse and back my truck up. Would not of mattered because there was car behind me. On my current profile try to follow all the driving rules as much as possible.
£7? And that gives you access to the new exploration/sightseeing/deliveries stuff with the cars.Just ordered the Ultimate Bundle on Steam with a healthy discount, so I have about six more states now, and I was pleasantly surprised that the Ford DLC was only £7 or so.
All set for the weekend...£7? And that gives you access to the new exploration/sightseeing/deliveries stuff with the cars.
Damn - there goes my weekend!!!
At that price I'll happily buy the other car dlcs in future as well.
You're right that there seems to be a high chance of a train appearing at a crossing, my guess is that the game triggers this when you get near to one. I don't often hit multiple crossings in one drive, but perhaps I'm just lucky to avoid them usually.Anyone else irritated by the fact that no matter day or night, at the outskirts of a town or in the middle of absolutely nowhere, whenever you approach a railroad crossing there's very (in)conveniently a train coming? Nearly every time it's behind a blind corner so you can't see it before it's already time to brake hard, or on an open road the lights begin flashing just suitably so that coasting doesn't help one bit but you can't get through before the booms come down either.
It's by far my main gripe with the "gamey" aspects in the sim, trying to maintain a good fuel economy is a futile attempt when there are forced stops that can't be prepared for. One every now and then wouldn't be bad, it happens, but the frequency is ridiculous and clearly meant to be like that. For example in Souht Dakota some time ago, driving west from Brookings, south past Mitchell and then through Yankton towards Sioux City. Had to stop in four in a ****ing row. Four. With the world scale being what it is that means being the next 20 effective miles at full throttle trying to get the truck back to speed for a few minutes and then hey whoops, another crossing. Traffic lights work in the same way, a "green wave" is an unheard of thing in SCS cities.
