SCS had a live stream today and teased a bunch of new stuff, including:
  1. Official multi-player mode coming soon
  2. Texas will be the next state released after Wyoming
  3. The Western Star 49X will get sleeper variants in early 2021
  4. They will re-work some areas of the map, starting with northern California
Very early Texas shots:

I’m guessing the Texas timeline will be similar to what we’ve seen with Iberia in ETS2. On the bright side once they get to the mid-west they should be able to pick up the pace since it’s mostly farmland with little elevation.

Im also curious about multi-player, I know there’s a mod that does it but I haven’t felt adventurous enough to try it.

Apparently ATS is on sale right now on Steam for $5 until January 5th. Anyone that was thinking about picking it up, now is probably a good time...

I hear private servers, not full open lobbies.

Took a while, but I finally visited all cities in Idaho (I feel that Coeur d'Alene's trigger is bugged, had to drive to an HQ for it to work).

Having driven around there some earlier today, I can definitely say that Wyoming definitely lives up to the standards they're setting for new releases. There's so many unique little details everywhere that it's hard to not get caught up in sightseeing, and it's really making me look forward to seeing how Texas turns out. Also rather interesting that unless you get a specific delivery, you won't be routed through Yellowstone on a job since heavy traffic is restricted through that area in real life.

They did also mention that a couple of roads through that area would be extended north "when the time is right", which sounds a lot like a strong hint that Montana may be in the not-too-distant future.

I couldn't stop taking photos, it's amazing.

My guess is after Texas. But yes, there is a big open area between Yellowstone and Sheridan where highway 14 goes through and connects from the 20 to the 191. They could add that later, such as they added Flaming Gorge to Utah with this update between Vernal, UT and Rock Springs, WY.

Been a while since I jumped in ATS (September...), but just driving around getting as much money as possible to buy all the trucks and HQ's. I have a mod that increases payments from jobs. My longest delivery so far is Boise to Denver, it would've been shorter if the Pocatello off ramp wasn't blocked by construction...

Decided to try ATS on my Series S through GeForce Now. It's fully playable, but unfortunately mods aren't able to transfer. I only have a money increase mod, but I think I can live without it.

We are getting closer to Texas being released, and a new video today shows locations in the space industry you can get loads to/from. And Starbase is included! Can't wait!

I wouldn't mind having an Alaska/Hawaii expansion. With Alaska, you would have to get through Canada to reach it. Hawaii would probably be a cargo ship with a travel fee.
