like what do you consider a high performance truck?

Would a S-10 Xtreme, F-150 Lightining, Ram SRT-10, etc.

The Dominator-

The Dodge Ram SRT-10-

That truck is sweet

i wish they put the next gen hemi in the new ram......

the hemi with the six-pack mmmmmmmm

you guys remember the ram VTS prototype, when dodge first experimented with the high performance truck market???

The only thing 'extreme' about the S10 Xtreme is how fat and underpowered they are.

F150 Lighting is not shabby (though I prefer the first gen to the new ones) but I hate to say the SRT-10 is going to brutalize it in terms of power and handling.

Syclones and Typhoons are really cool - whichever one was based on the Blazer ute was better, due to better weight distribution. Those things leave the line like a ball bearing out of a slingshot.

That was the Typhoon.

The S-10 Xtreme has 190hp in it which isn't to bad for a stock tuned truck. I think they are great trucks. I've test drove a few of them and they aren't underpowered at all.

the Ram SRT-10 also uses the Tremac T-56 6-speed manual tranny, watch out silverado SS!!!

i agree street, the power doesnt matter, its how it feels, the rigity of the rpms,as you press the throttle...

I found that it really did have nice acceleration. Tail happy though, but most trucks are.

yes, they tend to slide out in the back cause no weight,my dad's truck,454 big block, dual eldbrock carbs,500+ horsepower,0 weight in the rear,it all can be scary at times

Now this gives me and idea. My friend has a 87 Dodge ram with 764hp. I think we should see if we can get it side ways without fliping it :D

hmm, what engine does he have in that ram???

btw-the 80's rams are ugly as hell!!!

its a V-8 with racing cam, flowmaster straight pipes, intake, headers, and some other mods. Its fast as hell. We've been up to 138mph in his truck. Thats pretty fast considering is weights what like 3 tons?

Not sure of what kind of engine. I'll ask him next time I see him. But I know its a V-8

those flow master exhaust can bosst horsepower productively,i have en mounted on my satng,id say a 40 horsepower increase...

Ya he tells me that its between a 40-50 hp gain. I love the way they sound.
