AMG Academy tire question

So... I've been trying in vain to gold the Beginner portion AMG Academy with my DS3 and coming very close in the events and I noticed in Beginner Section 1 that the tires are set to Sports Soft, which is the only one i've managed to gold and I did it after a few tries.

The next 3 sectors are Sports Medium, and I can't beat gold time in litterally hundreds of tries.

The final full lap, which I haven't tried to gold is also sports medium.

So... Why is the first one Soft and the rest are medium? Was it always this way or were they Sports Soft originally. Why isn't it consistent?
 
Maybe because it's supposed to get harder to test your skill?

I found you can't go off the track, not even once, hence testing your skill as mentioned. :)

I answered your question with the most reasonable explanation. If you don't think it was adequate then please don't ask a question if you think you had an answer in the first place. And another thing - My intentions were to be helpful.
 
Go on youtube and search amg challenge. There are many videos to watch. Seeing how people get golds will help you. When I was working on licenses and challenges that I could not do, I watched videos on youtube, it is very helpful.
