I have the exact same problem. I golded all of the individual sectors, but cannot come close to golding the full lap. And I really don't see where I can improve that much. I'm talking like 12 seconds. And I've seen videos but I can't keep the car on the track taking the corners so fast. Been trying over a week (on and off of course) and not getting any better.:grumpy:

The same here except that I only have to squeeze out another 0.7 seconds to get the gold.

I managed to do a 7.04.xx in the SLS after about 15 attempts.

When I started the event I thought PD confused the numbers and that it would be impossible to get this time (7.05 Gold) but I was wrong...

It is actually possible. And I used my DS3 btw...

(You HAVE to be ahead of the RED Mercedes before the "Karussell" ! If not.. restart..)

I'm always ahead of the red car by the karussell (actually I'm also ahead of the silver one) but still have 0.7 seconds to get the gold... It's a necessary but sadly not a sufficient condition to get the gold...

I did it this morning playing with a controller, kept getting 7:06.XX and got really annoyed. Then i decided i wanted to have a fag and still try. Changed to auto, sat with fag in right hand puffing away through the race. 7:04.208...

I hate how that works sometimes.

EDIT: I was also past the red/silver cars on the straight leading up to the sharp right hander leading to the carousel straight (if you can call it that) then passed the blue car after the carousel. Theres definetely a few seconds i can make up on sector 4, im so terrible at that. Took me like 4 goes to gold it and even then it was sheer luck.

EDIT2: Also, keep restarting and see what time you can get at the first split time. I was down at ~44:6.600 average and about 1:18.800 at the second split.

Practice, Practice and more practice.

Keep doing it, eventually you'll know burn the coarse into your mind then, you can start experimenting with lines and angles.

I've done those challenges so much, I swear I could take on the Ring IRL. I just hate would long it is, nothings worse than spinning out 6 minutes in.

I found all of the AMG challenges pretty easy to Silver, planned to come back later for Gold (which I am doing with all offline special events and licenses pretty much) but looks like getting Gold will be a big step up.

One thing I found odd is that in the SLS AMG full lap in the rain (in case anyone didn't know, you unlock the fourth set of AMG challenges eventually) you pass all the cars way before the end, even at only silver standard. I'd hoped they would pace me better than that.

For the full lap I ended up deciding to just drive like a mad man and keep my momentum up at all costs while not worrying too much about my line, (this was after a few attempts of being put-off by AI-cars out of line/in my line), got lucky and finished something like 3-4 secs under time

But what line you do follow can make a world of difference, I don't know if you have it unlocked yet, but practicing in the Expert test with the rain really helped me to find a line that minimizes speed loss and keep a car planted as you try to keep the corners straight as possible, racing in the rain really is an art form 👍

Just finished the Intermediate Full Lap with a gold. Tips:

- Your first split needs to be in the 46.xxx range, preferably mid to lows. To do that you'll need to be overtaking the first car just before, on on the short straight before the right-left kink leading to the first full-throttle section with a jump (Flugpatz). The first left-hand corner is second-gear, and the rear is very grippy so you can squeeze the throttle on nice and early. The make-or-break corner for this first part is the right-hander - it's a 4th gear corner, lift a little earlier than you think, carry the speed and very soon into 5th. That's more effective than trying to brake late and losing too much momentum.

- Flugpatz itself is a 5th gear corner and requires a lift. Make sure the SLS is lined up properly for the preceding jump. Then flat out again. You should now be coming up fast behind the second car which will keep right so you pass on the left.

- Schwedenkreuz is the next slowing point - 5th gear, bit of a lift, turn in earlier than looks proper and you should be able to get a couple of seconds of flat-out running before braking for Aremberg. I take this in third.

- The split you need here is a 1.19 or a very low 1.20, sub 1.20.100. Flat out down the Foxhole, chasing Car 3.

- Into Adenaeur Forst and you'll need 4th for the blind left-hander. Down that short straight you need to be passing Car 3. The track slows right down here, into one of the few second-gear corners so wash that speed right off and especially focus on the final right-hander of the complex as you'll want a quick exit.

- There's another split here but I forget what time I was looking for, by this stage I'm seeing whether I'm on target by how soon I pass the other cars.

- There are two cars together, pass them on their left just before Metzgefeld. There's another just ahead, which you need to pass before you get to the left-hander taken in third gear.

From there the next major marker for me was Klostertal 1 and 2 where you'll find another couple of cars which you need to be passing before you get to the the right-hander leading to the Karoussel, preferably at K1.

If you can achieve the pace above and maintain it you should be able to gold this challenge. I have managed it quicker, but that's one view of the minimum to get a 7.05.
