We all know that PD **somewhat** keeps in check with the player's demands, including DLC packs and others, but what about us that can't buy the DLC packs due to lack of credit card?

Well, maybe PD should release a seperate game "pack" with specific cars and tracks on it, sort of like how Rock Band does it.

For example, there would be a "Game pack" geared toward Rally Racing, with stuff like Trophy Trucks, Sprint Cars, and an extended collection of rally cars. It would also include rally "Series" where you'd do a "leg" of something like the Baja 1000 or Pikes Peak.

There'd also be car packs, which could be vintage cars, porsches , more Le Mans Prototypes, anything really. These would have 50 or so of new **Premium** cars under said categories with 5 essential GT tracks: Grand Valley, Mid Field, Nurburgring, Daytona, and Autumn Ring.

Obviously counterparting car packs, there would be track packs, which would have 10 or so new courses with 30 essential GT cars like GTRs, Ferraris, ect.

Then of course you'll have bundles, like the NASCAR pack with all the different NASCARs with a few new Ovals would be put together with maybe a track pack with Sebring, Spa-Francorchamps, Estoril, Le Mans Bugatti Circuit,
and Infineon.

You could also complete these "Packs" by buying every car and winning everything in the game (You'd have to win on every course on Easy, Medium, and Hard mode to win them) for 5,000,000 credits added to your GT5 game.

Now what's the point of "Game Packs" if you can't put them on GT5? Well That's what I'm getting to. How you would get the new cars/tracks/races whatever, is that you would buy the game in a store, install it on your PS3, play it for a little bit, then you would copy all of the content in its save folder and put it in your GT5 folder, simple as that!

Now, these packs WILL NOT be updated, they will be based off of GT5 Spec 2.0 physics engine and that's it. You can't sign on to PSN or play online, it is strictly bare bones GT5 with new stuff.

So what do you think? Should GT5 have sperate Game Packs?

If you're too young to have a credit card, you should at least still have a few dollars of allowance. That way you can purchase PSN cards, which renders what you want pretty much pointless.

tl;dr.
So basically you are trying to say that we win car packs and track bundles by winning races? PD won't make money like that.

No, he's saying to put DLC in a completely new game. At least, that's what I'm getting from him.

I don't get it, why do you need a separate game? Why not just download and install as regular dlc? Sure, you could buy a dlc voucher or something in your regular game store (that would solve the "not having a credit card" issue) but there's no need to actually buy new discs, unless the content is too big to download.

Which brings me to the next point: 50 premium cars would take 25 man-years to do. New content this heavy could only be expected once every two years at most. So why not just release the cars as they are completed (like, 5 at the time) instead of waiting to get 50 in a bundle? Same with tracks. That way, the downloads would not be too big either, so you don't need to buy a disc.

And what is the point of making mini-games? I wouldn't want to switch between different games just because I want to go to a certain track, or change to a certain car. Add the new content to the current game instead, I'm sure no one would mind.

Maybe we need a subsection in the GT5 Forum section called Wishlist. Not to be offensive to the poster for such thread.

Good point, I agree.

Actually PSN cards aren't available everywhere. For example where I am you can only buy them online for which you need a credit card.
I do agree though that putting DLC on a completely new mini-game type Blu-Ray is a bit of a strange way to get around that.
