Hello, here is an engine that uses a 50:1 air/fuel ratio, produced more torque and bhp per pound than any other engine in history. Is super quiet, has close to 70% thermal efficiency and runs very cool. Also uses virtually no oil ( only a few ounces per a few thousand hours ) and has two power pulses per revolution, like a two stroke engine.

It's called the Bourke engine and was invented by Russell Bourke from England in 1950.But the idea goes way back to 1918, when the idea was first conceived. This is an alternative to the commonly used Otto cycle engine.

Cheers Nath.

P.s. don't know what applications it can be used for though.

Curtiss OX-5 is 2.51 hp/lb, which puts it above the highest possible claim of 2.5 hp/lb of the bourke engine.

I'm not seeing anything about torque in either of those links.

And like the last thread you posted on an engine, why is it in the motorcycle forum?

Just because this is where you normally post, doesn't mean that everything you post goes in here.

why is it in the motorcycle forum?
May have misinterpreted the use of the word "cycle?"

Edit: It occurs to me that the aforementioned "last thread" may have incited a similar "why is this here" response, and now I regret chiming in.
