Ok, now I have done extensive searches of these forums, and there is nothing on any wish list for GT4 about my idea. Ok, this is what I think is the most unrealistic and crappy part of GT3. THE TIRE SMOKE!!! How many times have you just wanted to get in your 1000+hp supra and do a massive burnout? But when you try you get little puffs of smoke that dissapear at the same rate as allways. You ever played Sports Car GT? The smoke in there is still better than what we get in GT3, and that game was developed over 10 years ago. You would think that the PS2 could handle the redering. I mean, just look at the smoke in games like Metal Gear Solid 2, etc. Its REALISTIC, and I would just love to see someone revise the characteristics of smoke in this game and make some progress, instead of being stuck with another great release of a great game with graphics characteristic of the first release. Even if the tire smoke were set to fade more like the dust on the side of the track (lingering in the air somewhat) would be a huge inprovement. I wanted to know your input. I mean can you really argue that the smoke just looks so realistic? I think not. And after all, wouldnt that burnout just make you feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside??? Peace.

I agree the lack of smoke sucks alot, theres nothing better than an amazing burnout. Plus it would be kinda cool if it limited opponents view like it does in real life. Dunno how dumb this sounds but these are my thoughts.

Yeh, i can see me in the future..;)

48,000 tires, slapping them on...going to the test course, and just ripping them to shreds....yummy.

Hi, Daedalus, and welcome aboard GTPlanet. Have a good time here.

I'm moving this to the Rumor & Speculation board.

Or a Escudo, Or my Superfast 5800HP ZZII Hybrid........mmm.......smooooooooooke.........

well Need For SPeed has burning out .. i burned out in a McLaren F1 Lm  thats what GT3 lacks /i must agree

OK, but that's why NFS: HP2 is so much of an arcade-like game. That's the reason some people have grown apart of that series; NFS: Porsche Unleashed was about getting the cars, fixing them, racing, etc., being a lesser version (sorry about that) of Gran Turismo. But NFS: HP2 is much more arcade, much more funny and not a strong challenge.

For all these reasons, I can't back up the opinion of burnouts being good in the GT series. If, however, in fact the smoke coming out of the tires would block your opponents' view (including the AI), it could be useful :trouble:
