Thought I should introduce myself. I've been hooked on GT4 photomode for years, but have limited photoshop skills. Would love to hear your comments and tips. Hope you enjoy.

You have okay skills, but you need to get rid of the GT4 watermark using either the Clone Stamp tool or the Healing Brush tool. Secondly, how do you adjust the brightness on your images? If you're using Image > Adjustments > Brightness / Contrast, do not anymore. It DOES adjust the brightness and contrast but it distorts the colors and you lose the quality of the image. To adjust brightness and contrast in Photoshop, adjust "Levels" which can be found in the Adjustments menu (or by pressing Ctrl + L). Also, try to take more advantage of the in-game blur, it will save you a lot of trouble in Photoshop. ;)

Thanks for replying...that's exactly how I adjust. I do plan on learning more about photoshop, and hope to improve. These particular images were just done yesterday and today, but most pics in my gallery have minimal adjustments if any. Thanks again, and I'll heed your advice.....much appreciated

yup i did noticed everything was a bit gray and desaturated.. though you DID use brightness, you can also bump up the contrast as well so it looks more sharp, and less old.

Well first of all, welcome to GTP! Enjoy your stay! For your first sets of photos those are pretty decent. They can be alittle brighter though. However with the increase of brightness comes a white haze to the photos. This can be taken care of by increasing the contrast to bring out the tones in the photo again. Although levels is a good method of adjustment, I do also strongly believe in Brightness/Contrast. Using these two techniques in unison will produce outrageous shots. Colors are very important in your photos as well. Alot of times the color from GT4 isn't eye catching and vibrant. To fix this simply adjust the saturation in Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation. You can bump up the saturation from 0 to anywhere between 10-25. You want to make sure you don't bump the saturation up too high because this will result in artifacts (nasty, blocky pixels). Often the raw images you take from GT4 will have jagged edges to the car and surroundings. These can be taken care of by selecting the Smudge tool. If you can't find it it's probably selected as Blur or Sharpen tool. To cycle through the different tools simply right click and a drop down list will appear and select "Smudge Tool". Then in the top tool preferences bar drop the intensity to 5-10%. Then click and drag out the jaggies until smooth. Be careful not to overdo it with this tool also, otherwise you'll end up with a blurry mess. As you become more skilled I will help you with some more advanced techniques. If you have some spare time please drop by my gallery and leave a comment  Good luck with your next update!

--thanks for the help ..I messed with the levels and had much more success - big difference. I plan to practice this week for sure, and hopefully repost updated pics later this week - thanks again folks
