Hi everyone.
This thread is to tell stories that have happened to happen to you that have had a moral to tell that you have learnt from them. They can be as funny or as serious as you want. (Hope that sort of makes sene)
My contribution is this little story that happened today.
I was riding my bike in these forest today and I couldn't find these jumps so I asked some guy (he looked like he did jumps) he told me they were straight off in this direction on the side of this hill he pointed at. I went towards the hill as the crow flies along this small track. The track then ended and there was a tiny stream. (about 2 inches deep and about 2 foot wide. I though easy and just gave it a run at it and jumped it. The other bank looked solid however as I landed I broke through this bank which turned out to be only a thin layer of solid into this mud/quicksand which I sunk right into right up to my knee's. I then tried to scramble out and finally got out of it. covered up to my knee's in thick mud and my bike also cover up to half way up the wheel in mud. This mud has taken 45 mins in the shower to get off my legs and nearly ruined my clothes.
The moral of this story is "Don't always assume that the ground you about to step on is solid" This can be either taken literally as in my story or it could be aplied to many other situations.
Now lets hear your stories.
