Hi guys
I quite rarely "open up" myself in an internet forum but today I "just need to".
I am 33 years old and my wife is 38. We have a beautiful 6 years-old son who's our pride and joy (like your own - for those who already have them - are for you, I'm sure).
A couple of weeks ago, my wife bring me the news - we are going to be parents again!
Those of you who had the blessing of experienced it, can imagine our hapiness. Sure you get to think about the impact its going to have in your "familiar monthly budget", plus the hard economical situation the country is in at the moment and the efforts (read: tax increases) that we will have starting next year, but (thankfuly) we are lucky enough to not be amongst those who will truly suffer with it.
Today we went to the scheduled doctor's appointment for the first ultra-sound exam and... then the doctor drop it! - Congratulations! You'll have TWINS!
Independently of the true hapiness that this simple word has put inside us, we automatically started to mentally duplicate by 2 all the costs we have foreseen for the future. Added to it, we both look to each other coming out of the doctors office and said both at the same time: "Hell, we need a new home!"
I am still in shock. I am so happy and simultaneously so concerned about the whole future that I really haven't get yet if I need to laugh out loud or cry...
Sorry for the long post but I need to "speak out" of my chest. I hope you understand.
PS - Don't get me wrong, both of us are extremely happy. But everything else, the concerns, is rolling at light-speed in my head.
PS2 - I can't wait tell my son that instead of 1 he's going to have 2 baby-brothers/sisters. He's reaction will be priceless I'm sure
