Damn that's cheap, I thought DL was a lot more expensive.....I just threw out a figure. It almost seems worth it...but I still wouldn't do it.

sorry to bust ya balls guys, but i was browsing throught a bittorrent site (not telling u guys wat site it is) and i found a leaked version of GT4 chinese version. please support PD by buying the game cuz they worked their ass of so we could enjoy an almost perfect game. So i'm encourging u guys to dont go and try to look for it than dl it.

There have been 2 releases of GT4 on the internet. The Japanese and the Chinese version... both have been reported to not work.

EDIT: My bad... all this talking of leaking ahead of time and that is what I posted. Either way it's still relevant to the conversation. I don't think that the US version will leak early and even if it does people can not figure out how to get a backup of GT4 to play.

Um that's kind of NOT a leak.

The Japanese and Chinese versions of the game are legally on the shelves.

Where have you been?

Just to play the best driving game ever 2 months early, not worth the risk when you could pick it up for 30 quid when it comes out and you wouldn't have to worry about damage to your PS2. Also, you'd get a proper case, manuals.

i would have absolutely no hesitation in downloading it. and someone will patch the japanese version, and it will be done within the next week or so...give or take. why do I have no hesitation, well lets see:

1. the game is over a year delayed.
2. where is the online feature? if a game is delayed 1 year, you can make online work.
3. if the japanese version is done, for what reason could they possibly need 3 months more time to port a US version? we're moving into 1.5 years delayed on US shores.

but in all honesty the main reason will be the overlap. if i can have it today for free, or wait 3 months for the same thing and pay $50 for it, ill take it today. if PD tosses an online feature in for US, then hey, they'll get my $$$...i consider it a worthwhile investment in that case. but with simple things, like no 2-player garage races, etc being left out....i say boo to you PD. Boo for making us wait longer than our asian friends, boo for no online, and boo for not getting it spot on given the >1 year delay.

I should have been sitting in my pajamas christmas eve next to the fire, having GT4 drift sessions with my friend Taka in Japan, and drinking hot cocoa. Theres your reason.

Or, you should shut your whining yap and wait for the game and pay for it if you think it's worth it, or not play it at all if you don't.

Either way, DOWNLOADING IS STEALING, no matter how you try to justify it to yourself or pretend that PD owes it to you. Look up the word "ethics" and see what it says, thief.

Don't let me hear you say a word about downloading again or you will not make another post. Clear?

From all the potential money you saved from downloading all your games, movies, music, etc... spending around $50USD for ONE original retail game won't hurt your wallet. :\

GT4 is just one of those games that you must buy :p
