I have seen many animated gifs used on the site by members and I have tried a handful with zero success so far:ouch: I have made my own and failed to have them animate when uploaded but they animate fine when viewed on my pc, I have also downloaded them and then uploaded them as my avatar with the same result. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? I know VB is picky about animated gifs from what I have learned from google after trying to search for a solution for my problem, just haven't found a solution to it:grumpy: I know the size of it is fine or it wouldn't upload at all. It just stays on the first frame and that is it.

Thanks :gtplanet:

Not that i'm an expert, but it may be a good idea to download someone elses animated avatar, and check format, size etc in your image editor.

Animated gifs have the same restrictions as non-animated. That being 100x100/120x120 and a file size of less than 20/25k. If either of those isn't correct, the forum software makes the gif a single, still frame.

If you'd like help, I could take a look at it.

I stated I had tried creating my own and downloading numerous other ones other people had created.
