can u animate the little GIF cars in photoshop, and if so, how?

ok, make multiple layers, each one being a frame of the animation with the first layer (bottom in the layers pallet) as the first frame, and then each layer going up is the next one. Once you have all your layers created and ordered, go to "save for web" choose the gif format, and hit the button for "animate (checkbox actually). this should open up a new area of the menu, which is pretty self explanatory. Before you save it though, make sure you hit the little E button on the bottom of the preview to preview the animation in Internet explorer. Once you have it the way you want it, save it as a gif, and upload it here...

Although when looking at my save for web menu i don't have the option to animate (photoshop 7)

If you have Photoshop 5 or higher, you can click the bottom button in the toolbar to move the image to Imageready (which is now bundled with Photoshop). You can then use the Animation palette to create an animated .gif.

Yeah, you could do that. I hate using ImageReady though. It's too confusing for your average animator.

I don't find it confusing at all. Its quite easy to use although it has quite afew bugs.

easiest way is to use Animation shop by Jsec......i have Adobe Photoshop and Imageready and Jsec Paint Shop pro and Animation shop ....i guess there all the best image programs to use
