is it me or are some of the prize cars annoying, like you have to race these single car cups, so you go and buy one, spend a little cash on doing it up, race the series, win big style and for your efforts you win another car exactly the same as what you bought at the beginning of this little excercise. Now why couldn't of they somehow made it like a progression, ya know win a series, you win a bog standard vehicle for the next set of racing or am i out of line here?

You are correct. The best you can do is try to win cars that will be eligible in other series. This saves you from having to actually buy a car that you will win again. There are a few of series where you will have to buy the car though.

I recommend racing the cars you have in as many series are available and completing the tests so you have more series available. Some of the best cars come from open class series.

Make sure you know which races are restricted, I thought the American, Japanese and European, as well as the German Touring car Champ. were closed, but they are open to any vehicle.

a lot of prize cars you win are eligable in lots of races!!!! like the miata's!

I assume that you are reffering to things like the beetle cup and the evo meeting. The idea is that for the beginner beetle cup you race a 2.0 and for the amateur league you race the RSi. Same for the EVO. You can race cheapo cars to get better cars to race higher races. Thats the idea anyway...

THere is no way a 2.0 could handle 5 cup cars. I barely did it with an RSI.

This is what I am talking about. I won a Beetle Cup car and two evolutions before I thought about going into these series.

I wish I hadn't sold my pink Vitz. I'd have a complete set:(

This is one of the things that gets me with GT3, I'm sure it wasent like this with GT2. you should win cars that are for other events. the best example is the Merc races the only way to enter these is to buy a merc & tune it up, then what do you win, another merc that isn't as good as the one you have just used to win the race. why? (the first TT race also does this WTF, why can't you win a moded version you can use in the harder TT champ?:)
