I would welcome an online championship that would look like a pyramid of several levels, for example, with a expensive car on top (could be, for example, a car in unique livery). To move higher and higher, it would be necessary (for example) to win 3x at some level. On higher level again 3 victories to move up and so on. To make sure, that drivers will not race crazily for victory, the first place would be conditioned by a "clean race" without collisions. I think it is motivating, but not stressful - you can not fall down like in classic DR system. There's just one hit from an foolish opponent, and from A+ you can fall to middle of A in a single race :/.
