I'm just starting out here with Forza 4 and have another question about the DLC. What is the easiest way to get all the available DLC released so far. I have added 4,000 Microsoft Points to my account so I'm ready to buy the farm, lol, just not sure what the easiest way to go about it. Buy each car pack separately, VIP, or Gold Membership? Not really sure how all this works. Thanks for any help for a noob who is making the switch from the "other" game.

What version of FM4 did you get, standard or LCE? I don't think being gold gives you anything extra right now. There's been a bunch of sales on the DLC since launch so you might have missed some savings already. Your best bet would be to look into the season pass which gives you the 1st 6 months of DLC at 30% off I believe. The Porsche pack, for non-VIP members, is 1600 MS Points but if you're VIP (LCE or if you paid for VIP access) will put it at 1200 MS Points. Porsche pack is considered an 'expansion pack' of 30 Porsche cars (2 are dupes), 20 events, and some extra achievements, and you can't buy any of the cars individually like you can with all the other DLC. I think VIP only gave you 1 more monthly DLC at a sale price. Buying cars individually will end up costing you quite a lot more but if there's only 1 car in that month's pack then just buy that 1 car. Look out for deals, they come quite often and might come as we get closer to the holidays. I'd honestly play the game from start (new purchase with all included cards) and if you see DLC you want, especially on sale, go for it. But that Porsche pack is awesome (and I'm biased cuz I love the brand).

There's no need to 'switch from the other game'. You can easily play both games no problem but you'll most likely get into FM4 quite a lot if you liked GT games.

Thanks for your reply. First, I just got the standard version but really want to collect all available DLC, just looking for the easiest way to do it. Second, when I said, "switching from the other game", I didn't mean I totally gave up on it. Just looking to play FM4 on a bit more casual basis as I take playing GT5 a bit more seriously as thats the game I spend a bulk of my time on. Thanks for your help.

I'm in the same situation as you!! I also switched from the "other game" a couple of weeks ago and I'm not quitting on GT5 either but so far F4 hasn't dissapointed me either at all. I should be getting my fanatec wheel this wheel to make it more awesome. I just think they are both different games with different things to offer.

The only difference is that I did buy the collector's edition which already included some bonus cars like the pre-order pack, muscle cars and some other stuff but I agree that buying the season pass is the way to go (2,400 points), I just bought it last week and it will give you every single car from November'11 to April'12 however the porsche pack and the packs after April you'll need to buy them separetely so if you want to buy every single one of them you'll need more than 4000 points......or maybe just wait and hope for a winter pass to see if they include all the packs that came after April

Thanks and yea, looks like I'm just going to go with the season pass. Thanks for your input.
