There was a small accident with a big price tag in south western Sydney this morning when a car rear-ended a $400,000 Ferrari and shoved in into the back of a bus.

The crash occurred at Kingsgrove Rd, Kingsgrove around 10.30am (AEST) and disrupted traffic for around an hour, Nine News reports.

The front of the sports car bore the brunt of the impact with the bonnet bent in half where it was pushed up on colliding with the bus.

The driver of the Ferrari was assessed by paramedics at the scene but did not suffer any serious injuries.

The damage to the luxury Italian sports car is estimated to be in the tens of thousands of dollars.

Few things.

Who would put ugly chrome rims on a nice 360 spyder?

Black or stock in my view.

$400k for a 360 spider? There's one being sold near me for only 80k with a clean title. Is there a reason why it's so rediculously overpriced or is it just a mistake on the editors part?

Pretty unfortunate either way.

Everything in Australia that comes from another country is obnoxious, whether it be cars, electronics, etc.

Either cars in Australia never depreciate, or whoever wrote the article found the price when new...

Even a new one didn't run with a sticker price that high...though I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case in the land of $100 PlayStation games.

Why do exotic cars always make the news when they are in a accident?Honestly, who cares?

It is a show car from what I heard.

As long as the driver and passenger is fine... Hopefully he/she didn't hurt any pedestrians!

Boy, they just bend you over a barrel in Australia with car prices.

Another case of misinformation by the author of the article. Remember that 360 Italia few days ago?

I actually would never put a chrome wheel neither on a nice 360 Spyder nor any other car be it a supercar, saloon, coupe or an SUV. They look ridiculous in my point of view.

On a side note, lucky the driver of the car is fine.

Blame the GST and the luxury car tax.

We do not have a V8 car tax or an SUV tax but this.

Meh, 360, you can pick those up for cheap these days.

Once again not in Australia.
My brother Inlaw got one imported from the UK to save money.

there are a couple of 360's sitting inside and outside the local Ferrari dealer in my city..including a stradale, all under 130k...australia..wow i didn't know the prices were so inflated.

What is the price of brand new 458?

Wait till you see Hong Kong car prices, its double what you would pay for new elsewhere.

Malaysia as well, car prices are crazy around here.

Back on topic, damn, tens of thousands? The guy who rear ended the Ferrari must be in such panic right now! :scared:

Yep, because we have a 300% tax on prices for any cars. Doesn't include the enormous money yet to be spent for the road tax!

He would have unlocked an achievement though
Achievement Unlocked: Wreck a Supercar.

You can get 360's under 130k here (not a Challenge Stradale though) without much problem, I posted a link earlier in this thread.

If he could afford a 400k Ferrari, that'll probably be just be some pocket change for him :dopey:
