another gifting thread

Hello and good morning everyone!

I've been lurking on the forums for awhile now, pretty much just taking it all in. I've been searching for the bast 15 minutes or so, trying to find out if this has been asked.

I'm not sure if I'm a little slow, have some settings screwed up, or if I'm just an idiot. How does one go about "gifting" or "sending to a friend" a car? Are there restrictions on what can and can't be sent? I was trying to help out a coworker who recently started playing the game, and was gonna send him a Lambo. That didn't work, as I didn't even have that option under the "triangle menu" in the garage. The same was true for all my cars.

Do I need to find him in the lobby and also add him to my GT5 friends lists, not just my PSN?

If he's a 'friend' on your PS3 he should automatically appear in your community on GT5.

The gift option is the row of icons on the bottom centre of the screen, when you go to look at the car in your garage. Click on the car, then as it comes up, the icons are there, at the bottom.

Select ''gift car to friend'', all your friends appear on a list, select the one you want to send it to, then 'OK'.

You'll either get a success message or a failure message.

You can only send one car per day, the timing of which is 12:00 midnight GMT when it resets, so whatever time that is for where you live is when the 'day' finishes and you can send again.

I'll give it a try, if that doesn't work, then I'll go back to the beginning....

you also can't gift stealth or chromeline cars.. not sure if you can't give others, but those 2 types for sure you can't gift
