"He got kicked several times. He was walking bowlegged for a while," Deputy Doug Gay said.

Nice. That is one tough dude. To kill a deer with your bare hands after having a hoof planed on your boys. Somebody buy that guy a shot of whiskey.

Wow, that's one hell of a man. Coincidently, tomorrow is opening day here. Hopefully I'll get a buck by Sunday. 👍

Do you kill your bucks with your bare hands, or do you wear gloves?

I'll stick wth my S&W.

Damn thats hard core I must say. And to think I have a hard enough time taking a buck down with my 30-06.

Hunting with rifle is too easy for me. I like the challenge of handgun hunting. Plus, I'm not a big supporter of high-powered ballistics. The bullets don't hold together well compared to handgun hunting. I like to recovery my bullets from my prey and keep it as a trophy. It's hard to do that sometimes with rifle bullets. But, I know some on the market hold up prettly well, while others frag.

I don't hunt that much anymore, and deer is not something I go after at all anymore. But if I did, I'd take my .44 lever action with me, if I wanted to rifle hunt. It still is fun to hunt with a rifle, but I usually save that for wild boar. Those beasts are thicker than flies down here.

"Looky there, Earlie. We got us sum' dear in the bedroom."
"Yup."

...."Welp, time to be hittin the ol', dusty trail."

At first, I was kinda glad the guy killed the deer. Deer that attacks you in your home should be killed! Then I read the part about how deer charges windows, after seeing a reflection of itself, and mistaking it for another deer. It's kinda funny and sad.

Thats one determined guy ! A male buck in rutting season is no laughing matter, one took out 5 of my grandfathers hunting dogs back in the 60's. All really large hounds...

No bare hands for me. I use a 270 Winchester or an open sighted lever action 30-30 when I'm feeling lucky. I had my sights on a very nice 5 by 5 buck today but there were people on the other side of the hill. :indiff: A deer isn't worth that much to me.

I wonder if the antlers pierced his scrote, and the buck then actually broke its own neck by jarring around while the antlers where still in place.
