Another Reason to Get a Logitech Wheel

The other night I was setting up my DFGT. I hooked up the pedals to the wheel and the wheel to the PS3. I was able to navigate the menus just fine, but when I went to plug in the AC adapter nothing happened. I plugged a baby monitor into the socket and it worked fine. At that point I got pissed off and went to bed.

The next day I started troubleshooting the problem. I noticed the adapter had a slight odor coming from one side like it had gotten really hot. Then I used a multi meter and found it was producing a really low, almost non-existent voltage. I called Logitech tonight, told them what had happened and even though my DFGT has been out of warranty for the past seven months, they are sending me a new adapter free of charge anyway.

Sorry for the long post but I was trying to put down some things to looks for if anyone is having the same issue and come across this post. I was also wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

Anyways, even though this shouldn't have happened to a lightly used and carefully stored product, Logitech still gained points in my book for hooking me up even though the product was out of warranty.
