Welcome to the coldest continent in the world, Antartica. Where the South Pole is (even though there's no real pole there). I did a search on this recently, and accidentally put in "Antarctica," but the real spelling is "Antartica." Anyhow, this continent is extremely cold, has no natives, plenty of research stations, and full of penguins. My first topic about a certain place was "Area 51." Now, it's Antartica.

I hear it has penquins... Therefore it must suck... Penguins are like dwarfes in 3 piece suits.. They also suck... (The penguins, not the dwarfs)
 
Another useless fact:

Antartica is the second continent when you go by alphebtical order.

Africa- Antartica - Asia - Austria - Europe - North America - South America-

It is under a permanent neutral treaty and may not be claimed as territory by any country. Other than that there is no more to discuss about Antartica that has not been covered adequately by your opening paragraph. First "orange juice", now this? Sheesh.

Isn't Asia and Australia also known as Australasia ?....

And do notice that the Continents have the same letter front and rear...

FYI, The ozone layer is a myth created by insane, power hungry liberals. Coincidentally, the hole in the ozone layer is also a myth created by insane, power hungry liberals.
 
Surely it gets it's name because it's the opposite of Arctic? Which would make it, Antarctica.

I saw an Aussie travel show on TV the other day and this girl was in Antartica on a tour/vacationey thing.

I seriously could not believe how beautiful the place is. :eek: Near the end they showed her talking, and the background was probably the most awesome background/backdrop thingy i've ever seen in my life.
White snow/glacier things mixed with deep, bold, blue ocean. *drool*

I seriously would go there if i could afford to and would remember to take plenty of pics. The fact that Penguins were walking right up to people and/or wandering around like there was no-one else there is an (huge) added bonus too. :)

Could someone with such power kindly change the title of the thread? I hate to spread ignorance.

Also, I learned the continents (nearly 20 years ago) as

Asia, Europe, North America, South America, Africa, Australia, and Antarctica.

still the most pointless and ridiculous thread ever created by anyone..... i mean, you'd have to be completely out of ideas to make a thread about Antarctica
