Hello interwebz! My name is Daniel, but you can call me Dan. Today I have a question for you: "Are there any actors here on GTPlanet?" If you happen to be one, PLEASE stick to this format:

I'll start the ball rolling.

Film, TV, or Stage?: Stage
Which shows/movies/plays/musicals have you been in?: I have worked on the tech crew for my high school building the sets for Rumors, Pal Joey, and Romeo & Juliet. I'm going to be playing the role of Eugene in our upcoming production of Grease.
Have you performed on a famous location?: I don't think my school counts as a famous production haha.

If I remember correctly I saw something in the EBS thread about Touring Mars having been a background actor before.
 
I've done extra work. During college and my band days. Good for free food (craft tables) and filling up on King's Hawaiin bread (inside joke), making a few bucks and meeting hot, want-to-be actresses!

I was in a couple of movies, but didn't get any lines. So, I'm not a SAG card holder. A friend is a movie/TV show editor and director so he got me in to a lot of that stuff.
 
I haven't myself but I do know someone who was an extra in the Da Vinci code.
 
Full time actor here. It's my day job so listing everything I've done would make for a very long post. I'll keep it simple and list things people would recognize.

Which TV shows: Battlestar Galactica, Being Human, The Phantom, Student Bodies
Movies: Red II, On The Road, Mirror Mirror, The Bone Collector
Plays/musicals: Robin Hood, School for Scandal, The Oresteia, Titus Andronicus, Twelfth Night, Measure for Measure, The Winters Tale, Antony & Cleopatra
Which roles have you played?: Many
Have you performed on a famous location? Yes, I performed on Broadway and on various Hollywood sets

I also work in voice-over for cartoons and video games. Here's a list of notable projects: Far Cry Instincts, Far Cry 3, Assassin's Creed (2, Brotherhood, Revelations, 3), Hype's Time Quest, Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Still in development: An unnamed online Marvel Superhero game, The Mighty Quest For Epic Loot.
 
Ha ha. Go for it, though I don't have a profile on IMDB (haven't given them any money) so they have me listed as about 15 different people. I could always PM you my resume and agent's phone number if you really want to check my credentials. I would, however, prefer to keep my personal details anonymous to the greater forum-browsing public!

Funnily enough I was talking to Dennisch earlier and it turned out he had a role as a child-actor.

But he's not a real thespian, he's faking it.

I'm pretty positive he's telling the truth as there are maybe 3-5 people who were involved with most of the works he cited, one of which is from Montreal & has Broadway experience.

I know it's all too easy for someone to come on here claiming all sorts of BS.
Believe me, none of the movie roles I cited are huge. I have been fortunate to work on some big projects but I am by no means a famous actor. I'm Canadian, after all! I don't live in the U.S. and I have to audition just like anyone else.

If you don't have anything to contribute, then don't bother posting anything. Myself, and many, many others truly enjoy acting and fine arts.
 
I missed a lot of high school thanks to some oscar-winning performances.

Heh, weird you mention that; a few months back I started watching some Student Bodies episodes (they're all on Youtube, oddly enough), and noticed out of all the main characters, the one who's had the most success after the show isn't Canadian! It's a shame Flash doesn't get more work... :D

As for the topic of the thread; nope. I showed up in a music video a few years ago, but otherwise, the closest claim to acting fame I have is a friend's sister being close friends with Jessica Paré.

Which shows/movies/plays/musicals have you been in?: Numerous different things, including adaptations of Puss in Boots, Anne of Green Gables, I Remember Mama, etc... Currently going to be in a production of Radio Daze.
Have you performed on a famous location?: The Shawnee Playhouse and the Sherman Theater, both in Pennsylvania.

EDIT: I am a guy, in case people ask...
