Any advantage of 50 degrees?

In the tuning menu, you can change your wheel turning up to 50 degrees yet i have rarely seen anyone do this. I assume that the more lock on the wheels the more grip they require to function effectively, and in most races you are limited to S2 tires. Is it the case that S2 tires just dont have the grip required to make 50 degrees worth it?
 
I use 45, makes it easier to correct oversteering, works fine with s2 imo.
 
like chemical said...50 is mainly for drifting.
 
Yeah, 50 for drifting. Gives a TON of angle! Feels great. 30 feels like a dang gokart though! And lose the slightest bit of traction in the rear and they dont come back.
 
50 degrees is not just for drifting. I use it to help the car turn better. There is not a tune in my garage that doesn't have 50 degress turning.

a advantages I see is you are turning the wheel less to get the car to turn.
Another is with tight race cars..Again you can turn faster

A disadvantage is with a oversteer car, you can loose it much easier, however it is much easier to catch a slide with 50 degrees.

I simply cannot drive a car without it set to 50, I am spoiled.. I just like my race car to be a little loose..

you just increase your chances of understeering.

i dont know if tire wear is in this game but if it is, your front tires are done for.

Yep I understand that. It help break the car loose so I can point the nose where i Need it.
