Any French linguists out there? (Actually anyone better than me at French wanted.)

I have been given a french assignment on the future tense, the task is to write a micro-essay on "When I'm 40". I have the rather large disadvantage that I have missed all the lessons on the future tense. I want the essay to say this in french:

"When I will be forty I will live in a appartment in London with seven cats and four dogs. I will work in an office in south London but I will live in north london, I will travel to work by aeroplane. I will have two children and I will name the first child Coheed and I will name the second child Cambria. When I am forty it will rain every day and it will snow every Sunday. I will be a lawyer but when I am fifty I will work as a computer programmer."

I get this as a translation:

"Quand j'aurai quarante ans je vivrai dans un appartement à Londres avec sept chats et quatre chiens. Je travaillerai dans un bureau à Londres du sud mais j'habiterai à Londres du nord, je voyagerai au travail en avion. J'aurai deux enfants et j'appellerai le premier enfant Coheed et j'appellerai le deuxième enfant Cambria. Quand j'ai quarante ans, il pleuvra chaque jour et il neigera chaque dimanche. Je serai un avocat mais quand j'ai cinquante ans je travaillerai comme informaticien."

Would it be possible for a few French speaking GTPers to make some small corrections (since I'm sure that there will be errors) and generally help make this a better piece of writing?

P.S Forgot to mention that I have to hand this in in 8 hours time
 
"Quand j'ai quarante ans qu'il pleuvra chaque jour"

Drop the qu' and replace it with a comma.

Ask MugenVTEC or PunkRock, they will hekp you more. I haven't been to any French classes for two years now.
 
You used if an internet translator?

If you did I suggest you put back in what it spat out and see what it says this time.
 
Already tried that, I used a program istead of an online translator and I got almost exactly what I put in (except it translated programmer as data processing specialist, since that's essentially a branch of the same job I'll forgive that error).

OT... Nice to see I'm not the only one who likes Coheed and Cambria ;)

Out of curiosity, which program did you use?
 
That translation is not half bad, as I was able to read it and have it make logical sense. My french is a little rusty though so that I cannot point out any flaws. But its a good sign when I can get a clear meaning across and nothing seemed blantantly wrong.

And like evil asked, what program was this?
 
Thanks all, I'm just about finished here so if a mod wants to lock this thread (s)he's (are there any femal mods?) very welcome to.

I used LEC Translate French Personal to do my translations.
 
Hmm. Is "studying" French, but doesn't go to classes, writes assignments in English and then has a translator write the French for him.

Oh boy, you're just going to ace that exam!
 
The GCSE exam here lets you take in notes for French though...
 
Ahhh.... I remember the good old days of french GCSE..... Damn missed an A* by 3 marks!!!!! :crazy: ..... Now I cant even remember a sentence....
