Lately my wheel has become weak, fine for the first two laps then I goes weak. I almost fells like there is a belt slipping between the motor and wheel, even though I know there are no belts. I can feel and hear it working but it just doesnt translate into force feedback.

It reminds me of when it was new but when I would use it too much and when it got hot the FFB would drop off. But this does it within the first few minutes.

Also when I unplug it and plug back in, it is fine again, for another 3 minutes.
When I am on the menu screens I can turn the wheel full lock each way and there is considerable centering resistance.

Any hope for fixing this? I got it back whenever F1 2010 came out so I am outside the warranty window I believe.

Will logitech fix it even though its not a warranty job?
Anyone have any luck fixing, or getting these wheels fixed?

Thanks.

It sounds like an overheating problem or rather it thinks its overheating. Its likely that its not overheating in that short of a span.

When these wheels get too hot the force feedback gets switched off. There's a switch or temp sensor which might be the culprit. I don't have any specifics for you but I would recommend "googling" around a bit for overheating issues.

Good Luck
