Any Interest in a GT1-Based Racing Series?

After searching around the forums a little bit I noticed that a GT1 league was about to get started up in December but fell through. I feel that this might in part be due to the stringency in the regulations and failure to stick to the basics that make GT1 great.

Currently, I think a weekly or every other week format with a race on the weekend (or even the two-race format in the actual series) would work best. Cars would be the same as the real series (Ford GT, Lamborghini Murcielago, Chevrolet Corvette, Nissan GT-R, Aston Martin DB9) with the 2010 regulations as posted on the GT1 site. Due to the absence of the Maserati MC-12 in game, we could possibly substitute in the Enzo as proposed in a previous GT1 thread.

So, anyone here interested in starting a GT1-based series?

I am very interested in this concept. As long as driving aids are kept of and Racing tires are used I'm in! You should consider using the Zonda R as it falls well in this class of cars.

Definitely, driving aids off and racing tires are a must (might allow a little ABS if the majority want it).

I'm going to do some tests this week, and I would encourage anyone who is interested to do the same. Here are the current specs for the cars, but these will also have to be adjusted slightly due to the fact that some stock cars have higher bhp's than their racing counterparts.

Also, I'm thinking that the series should have a two-person team system, just like the real series incorporates. To join, you could either pick your own teammate, or be a "free agent" so-to-say and have someone assigned as your teammate.
