I (eventually) want to start a monthly Formula One event that takes place on the five Grand Prix tracks currently in GT Sport. It’ll essentially be one 300 kilometer race per month, not to exceed 90 minutes, with lap specs based on real life Grand Prix events.

I won’t begin this series unless I get a handful of players to commit to it. Dedication is key. If enough people sign up, and we agree on a set day and time, we can get this started as early as next month.

Here’s what we’re looking at in terms of track and lap combos. If you think there are other tracks, real or fictitious, that can expand on this idea, please let me know.

Round 1 - Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya - 66 Laps
Round 2 - Red Bull Ring - 71 Laps
Round 3 - Autodrome Nazionale Monza - 53 Laps
Round 4 - Suzuka Circuit - 53 Laps
Round 5 - Autódromo De Interlagos - 71 Laps

Also, which F1 car should be used: the Gran Turismo F1500T-A, the Mercedes-Benz AMG F1 W08 EQ Power+ (Color Variation), or both? I’ve attached a poll for this.

Is that something that you think will be more appealing to lobby players?

I think the F1500T-A and the Merc W08 are not easy cars to drive. They have a specific way of driving it. I do believe it's a car that alot of players like, because of how they are.

The Red Bull Junior doesn't really look Formula, but something more of the future. It's alot easier to drive. If you are fast with Gr.1 and Gr.3, I think the Red Bull Junior should be alright for those kind of players. It's also a car where you can put a custom livery on whereas the W08 is not possible.

The W08 has an alternate version that I believe can be customized. It's called Color Variation. As for the Red Bull cars, I happen to have the Junior. It was a pretty fun drive.

Yes, but that's just color variation. You can put a different color on the car without decals. You can't put any decals on the car.

Might need to work a custom BOP for the Red Bull Junior, just to make it quick and fun enough.

I've never seen a head-to-head between the generic F1 and the W08. I believe the generic has more HP out of the box. Do you think BOP would fix that?

The Gran Turismo F1. It was added to the game months before the Merc W08.

Oh! you mean the F1500T-A? No, I don't think it's as quick as the W08. W08 has the upperhand in acceleration, braking and aero grip I believe. The thing with the F1500T-A is you have to carry the speed around turns without experiencing turbo lag, which means you have to compensate on downshifts. I don't think BOP can help.

I'd like to join, depending on what time the races are held. I'd prefer the F1500 or the Redbull x1 junior.

In what time zone are you based? I normally run my lobbies on weekend mornings or afternoons (U.S. EST).

I am in GMT+1. If the races are held in the weekends, I'll probably miss a few ones. Happy to sign up as a reserve driver and join when there is a free spot in the lobby.
