I've had to exchange my Logitech wireless wheel which sat on your lap with extendable support on, for a GT wheel.

I don't get to play much so this was ideal. Has a anyone got lap stand they use or any suggestions?

I've seen the stand you can buy, but for my use its to expensive.

Cheers

I bought a bed table for £11.95. The DFGT clamps to it and the legs nearest me rest either side of my thighs. Works for me.

I Velcro'd mine to my pants, it's fun and arousing on the rumble strips :D ..

I added 4 “legs” to my Ikea table. My total cost was ~$5. I'm planning to make a new one, but I don't know the cost.

Try this cost about $25.00 Canadian 12 pounds UK, have to buy a seat that's it. It is made of MDF board same thing they make speaker boxes out of.The seat you can get from a wrecking yard for $10.00.

I have heard alot of people started out with just a folding tv tray. Sounds cheap and easy and no diy skillz invilved. Just a sugestion.

You might want an old computer stand little more stable, you can get a small one at any second hand store for cheap, plus it gives you some room for beverages and whatever.

Yeah that was my first try with a wheel, not the best option with force feedback.

Like i said, I heard people used it, I personaly built a sim rig that i found here on gtp from a gent called Timpac or something like that but since i could not produce pics of it he thought i was jerking his chain. I still have no idea how to post pics and not very interested in learning. GT and GTPlanet are the only computer skills I have, too old to care about all that fancy newfangled teck stuff.:ouch:

Me too being a new Grandpa doesn't give me the time either.

i am willing to build one out of wood or whatever but does anyone have some measurements so i can know where to start building one?💡

the only reason i ask is cause i have mine on a computer desk and their is know way for me to sit directly in the middle of the screen.

thanks in advance if you do.

I had brought out the old method of using a tv tray at the beginning and moded it by screwing a flat board underneath it and putting a 20 poud landscape brick on each side that i had left over from this.

But in the end I had this with some things in it in the garage. So i cleaned it up and used it (way better choice. You can go to a thrift store and find one for pretty cheap that is what a few friends of mine did too.

Hahahaha never thought about it but funny idea

LMFAO AND SMH AT THE SAME DAM TIME!!!

I know right

It's got to be a compact solution for me as it has to be packed away every time I'm not using it. I'd love to have a seat etc, but the PS3 is in the living room, so the wheel has be packed in box and stored once used. That's why I don't use the wheel much.

Thanks

I would recommend moving this to the Sim Racing Hardware Part of the Forum. It's not just GT5 related.
