I've played GT5 since Day1 and since about a month later I've always had the same....about.....200 cars. Just the cars I've wanted. But in the last 2 months I've had a new passion in GT5, and that's just collect the nicer/rarer used cars (and some new), and keeping them totally stock aside from oil, paint and if I really like the car, rebuilds. And just experiencing the car as is. The only time they are tuned cars is if they were bought tuned, but I still don't change anything. Just doing that I'm now about to hit 600 cars, and I've come to really love driving these "factory" cars with no aids aside from ABS. It's really fun and it keeps all the vehicles feeling (and sounding) unique.

And now that we'll be able to change rims on standards we can add even a bit more personal flare to cars besides just paint while still keeping them stock.

So I'm wondering if there's a league of sorts on here that do pure stock races, no-tune allowed and HP/weight limits? It's almost like SHUFFLE races just you get to pick your own cars so it's more fair.
I'm thinking it would make for a great league, and one that both novices and pros alike would have fun with. DOes one exist, or any other racers out here think that sounds like an idea worthy of a "league".

Edit- A league like this would also add some fun to the collectors aspect of the game, showing up to a league room with some rare special edition car or something.

I am completely with on this. I've been snagging used cars left and right building my collection. A lot of people don't know how fun and competitive most races are when the only mods allowed are tires. Add me to your PSN. The last 2 weeks, I've only created rooms with No Tuning allowed. Makes for some really fun races. I usually vary the PP and Tires. PSN ID: GT4SOM. I've been thinking about starting a league.

I've never tried HP/weight restrictions. It might be a good idea because for some reason, Hondas have recently been the stronger cars when PP restrictions are on. I've heard stories where GT has taken torque curves into play for PP classification.

I have a second profile that I am doing all stock. I think a combination of stock cars and choosing race courses that match A-B Spec/Seasonal events is a great idea to avoid the whole, I created a race series to manipulate the outcome stigma. I have combed most of the leagues out there and none of them seem to have an emphasis on stock racing and transparency unfortunately. I have only been in a few tuning restricted rooms, but they are great. They play kind of like shuffle, but with choice. A good formula I think. Anyway, I will be sending you guys some FR's and hopefully see you around. I would love to be a part of something with a KISS motto. Keep IT SIMPLE STUPID following the same formula's that are in place for the offline offering. Most of the leagues I am seeing are going to require heavy tuning and or track shake downs to see where every ones car performance is at.
Not at all what I was hoping for, but all it takes is a few like minded individuals to get something going.

There's a few online racing series in the online racing section that use the tuning-restricted option in the lobbies. My Toyota 86 series will be one of them. In fact, we're doing an open room tonight racing bone-stock FT-86 concepts.

Stop by if you'd like. Of course that depends on your location...

I'd definitely be up for this. I think it makes for some very close and intense racing. I'll fr when I get back in town in a couple days.

Sweet. Yeah, whoever hasn't, add me on PSN. It's good a few other people are into the idea. And yeah, that's what I wanted. Racing that is basically the same a Shuffle Races, you just pick your own car. I don't have a connection worthy of hosting, but whenever you want to get one of these rooms together, message me on PSN or on here.

I'm also interested in these kinds of races. I've only been doing shuffles online because that seems to be the only surefire way of racing stock. Add me - PSN: Gulwick.

Hey everyone. I've gone ahead and created a new Club here on GTP. I've named it "Factory Performance Racing Club" or FPRC for short. Check out the page using the link below.

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/group.php?groupid=522

I'll go ahead and send invites to you all if you'd like to join. You can also join by visiting the page in the Clubs and Fan Groups.

I think this will give us an opportunity to Non-Tuners to congregate to setup event and maybe even our own racing series. Please join to provide input.

Joined up! Thanks for creating that. I don't know how much I'll be able to participate, but when I do go online next, this is the first area I want to start. Great idea, thanks for creating.
