I Googled to see how I can earn some credits on GT5; I've completed all the licenses, 90% of the specials and only have totally completed Amature and Beginner (A Spec).
Trouble is I have a Mini, a Daihatsu Copen and another heap, how exciting! As you only get paid for winning once ever I don't see how I can get the money to get a competitive car to do the rest of A Spec with and am seriously thinking of selling the game so any ideas that work received with thanks.

you win cars in every race cat. in a spec and b spec. you hardly have to buy any cars to complete most of the game.

Buy a Camaro SS 10.costs 35k, and race mod it when you can (177k). I got Camaro SS RM at level 9 tuned to 600 bhp by doing the specials and 1 sunday cup race. You can use it and win most races. I started with a miata from UCD to do sunday cup and get a cart.

Juat for the record, I started a 2nd account when PSN went down.

You get paid every time you finish high enough in a race. You only get the prize car for the first victory tho.

Try to get your level up, then do the higher level races, you get more for the higher level races up till level 23. The last championship at professional events, lv 14 offers a veyron. One thing though don't worry about the credits when level up the money comes easy, and if you are like me you will buy cars because you reach max credits and you don't want to waste money.

Or an even simpler answer. Find a generous person to give you a car. :)

Oh, yeah! You could always start a second account, then race a bit until you have money, then buy cars and mail them to your primary account when the network's back up.

um... yeah

If you can stand oval tracks like me, use a RM ZR1 and do the Indy race in the American championship in the expert series.

What have you done to the cars and money you have won?

Wow! thanks everyone for you fast, kind help, much appreciated.

In answer to your great tips and questions - I thought you could only win the money for a race once; I've since learnt that money I won in a race with a crap car can now be 'won again' in a better car so thank God I can earn money again. I'm level 25 and still driving a Daihatsu Copen (bought the Blaze Skyline but it's crap), have about 100,000 credits and am looking for a car that can win the big events. Money's tight (just like real life!) and I'd kill for a collection of RUF's.

Thanks again for all your help and great links, I think I can get into the game again now and hope to pan all your asses when the networks back up lol..I did say hope, gimme a break :)

Much love.

I'm a pretty generous fella. Send me a friend request when things get back online with a short note to remind me who you are and what level you are at and I'll send you a couple of cars. Some people call that cheating...I call it being a nice guy...lol

My suggestion on would be to race daytona in the Turbo event until you have about 500k, at which point you can buy the corvette zr1 and perform the racing mods and finish upgrading it. This car will win you 97,600 cr every 3 min and 51 sec in the American Championship.

Exactly what I was wondering. I started the game only doing licenses and specials. After golding all the licenses and most of the specials, I was level 22 with 33 prize cars and well over 4 million credits.

Cheers everyone.

@knukken' -what I did with my cars and money: the cars I won were pants so I sold them, my money I spent on buying all the different cars you need for the various competitions (FR, Lightweight, European, etc, etc).

@Johnnypenso and @JODH_3Y :thanks, appreciate that, look forward to playing online with you guys :)

@inuakki : I thought if you kept playing the same race with the same car that you only win the credits once?

@HEAVYSET: 4 million! Jeez, lend me a tenner :)

I'm Online
Hooray, PS3 eventually got the network sorted and it's up again; looking forward to racing with you all...though I have to admit I'm a bit 'scared' by the fact people can see my GT5 Home page, there's already been enough hacking on PS3 so I'll avoid playing GT5 online until I'm sure it's safe. Til then add me shidoshi_rob (UK).

Just get on, playing the game won't hurt you're credit card !!

make a few B spec drivers and add me (same name as here) and I'll earn you some credits and xp with the widget. Might even be able to throw a car your way when you need it 👍

@fatty5000 sorry mate, BSpec bores me and it looks like there is no way to race other humans online so I'm gonna trade ther game in on Saturday. bye bye boring GT5

But you don't have too do anything, set up the drivers, share them online and I'll earn you a ton of cash, it's a no brainer

Update: Easy to earn money - play the Seasonal (on the left of your page)..can't beleive I never noticed it before..dumbo!
I've now got some mad cars and a few million, just a shame I cant race you guys online (I dont do BSpec).

PS I cant reply to comments as this forum wont send me messages when I get replies. Dunno why...gadgets huh..

The Indy race is almost an after thought now, what with the seasonals paying so well these days...But I'd like to note that with the Viper Team Oreca RC I can finish the 5 lapper in 3:38.521 (42.387 pb lap)... My ZR1 doesn't even come close nor does the Esperante or the Chaparelle 2J.
