Any special cars that can actually be tuned?

Are there any special manufacturer cars(besides GT40) that could be tuned? I won a few like Speed 12, and hoped to pump up the HP. I was so disappointed when I found out I couldn't. Anyways, plz let me know which special cars could be tuned.
Stupid escudo, i was hoping it could be suped to 1500+ hp
 
The speed 12 can take race mods if it interests you
 
I stand corrected. I thought the GT40 was the only car with the (R) tag that could be tuned. Sorry.
 
You can tune the Elise GT1 (race mod). You can also tune the Nismo R33 LM Road Car.

But most specials/race cars can't get tuned, unlike GT3. In most cases, they don't need any tuning.

Be careful though. After the race mod you really need to tune him in the sense of getting him on the road ;)
