Hi I just bought a set of T500RS which I am very satisfied with the wheel, shifter n the f1 wheels of course. Unfortunately not the pedals n I think it's even worser than the G27 one that I used to had.

Does anyone knows if there are spring mods fb the gas n clutch pedals?

Thx

afaik, John Bodin is working on a load cell mod for t500rs brake pedals. last i heard he was testing prototype about a month ago. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=7160436#post7160436. no news since

as far as springs for gas and clutch you can use the adapter that came with wheel to stiffen them or try your luck at a hardware store to find alternative springs.

Here's the last few updates from John Bodin (posted in ISR):

"Another brief update -- I just sent a production prototype unit off to Darin for testing. Looking forward to hearing his views on my final design.

I had ordered a couple of mechanical (metal) springs last week to see if I could achieve greater pedal travel and responsiveness going that route -- unfortunately, the spring proved to be SIGNIFICANTLY inferior to the current coupling method that I'm using in terms of performance and responsiveness. I may try to experiment with some different springs to see if I can achieve similar performance, because the amount of pedal travel WAS significantly improved, but the load cell input was MUCH more "grainy" and actually harder to modulate using the spring. What the spring helped illustrate for me, though, was that I have come up with a very effective coupling method as-is, despite the stiffness and limited pedal travel, so that part was fairly reassuring."

Of course this is for the brake pedal only. The best thing for the gas and clutch is to replicate the same method TM uses for its Real-Brake Mod.

Just wondering if any t500 owners did Change the stock springs to some stiffer ones

What I've done is to cut and fit some high density foam and fit them into the pedal slots. You can also combine different foam density (using hot glue to sandwich them) to obtain the right amount of resistance.
