any tips for making codes from scratch??

hello!
I was just wondering if you have any tips for making codes? like by the memory location and and how it works and what every letter or number means and stuff like that!?! ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!! thanks!
 
What exactly are you looking for? And which game do you have? and what type of equipment do you have (PSX, PS2, Gameshark CDX, Gamshark PRO, GS2, etc.)?

well skynyrd i have gt3 and gameshark 2 soon i will have my sharkport!!! like what each # and letter means and to figure out what location to put them in!!!!! cuz each code does something it can freeze up your game or sometrhing may happen that you did not want!! like delete you garage!!!! arggggggg!!!!! i dont want that to happen BIG!.... NO...NO....
